I wish the media would stop banging on about how luke-warm the Cats look at the moment. Now what would be the obvious response to that from their players would you reckon? It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

If Tony Shaw is right with his predictions the Swans will be in the 8 at the end of this round. Here's what he said on Fox Sports about our game:
Sydney Swans v Geelong, Saturday, 7:10pm (EST), ANZ Stadium
Two months ago, this game would have been a foregone conclusion. But with the Cats losing three of their past six and Sydney making a late charge for the finals, it could be a great contest. Geelong have won their past five matches against Sydney, but the Swans play with a type of structure that has frustrated the free-flowing Cats in the past. The battle in the midfield will be pivotal, where Brett Kirk and Kieren Jack will need to tackle their hearts out to shut down Geelong?s brilliant on-ball trio of Gary Ablett, Jimmy Bartel and Joel Selwood.
Tony Shaw says: Geelong are susceptible at the moment as they look a bit soft. Having Matthew Scarlett and Harry Taylor back will really solidify their defence, and I think Scarlett is the one they build their game around. The ruck area is a problem for Geelong, and Darren Jolly has been in sensational form. Sydney have got some good young kids in Ed Barlow and Jesse White. I?m really worried about Geelong?s scoring power, and I think, up there, Sydney can shut them down. So I?m going to go Sydney in an upset.Comment

Also the likelihood that a greater percentage of patrons will be drunkI'd always supposed it was a night game thing because they rarely (ever?) have K2K at the SCG after a night game but usually do for a day game.
I suspect that the risk of injury - and hence the personal injury liability of the ground - is greater at night due to dewy conditions on the ground.I wish my weed was EMO so it would cut itselfComment
