Aaaggghhh. Then again, one game out of twenty this year. Its not how he would want it. The back line is in good order. I believe he is making the right decision. Those legs of his are not going to last forever, and again, its all about timing. Go while the fans cry no, try not to wait until the door has been wedged open. And don't wait until your body is screaming.

    Oh that mark.

If he chooses to go now I think it is a good thing. IMO he showed on Saturday night that he may be passed it. Pity, he was a very good player in his day.

Now official. He will hang up the boots at the end of the year.

The Roos quote brought a tear to my eye:

?He is truly one of the great gentlemen and family men of the game.
?As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them.

?This he did with his fantastic athleticism but most importantly, an incredible self belief and desire to be the best player he could possibly be."

Can we call him "Leaving Leo Barry" now?

Leo and MOL - possibly my two favourites. Brumbies here I come?

                  Onya Leo.

All great things must come to an end

Thanks for carrying the backline for so long... and that mark was pretty good too.

Hmmm, forgot about him. Imagine he and Shaw taking off out of the back line!

Your post makes no sense. Who is going to put Tiger's shoulder back in when Dr Leo isn't at hand?

Now that's a funny memory of Leo - the DIY on-field shoulder reconstruction. And Leo's subsequent justification "Tadhg's shoulder is so stuffed anyway that I couldn't make it worse".

Congrats Leo on an amazing career and everything you have brought to the game and in particular the Sydney Swans. A truly respected and humble player!

So he's going to play out the year?

I dunno if it's been mentioned in the game day thread, but Robert Walls said during the broadcast something like the Geelong game was going to be Leo's last.

                              Yeah, right-o wallsy.
