Ronnie's comment on Marngrook - Jude retiring?

BIGBEZ on that other filthy football site mentioned that Ronnie Burns said this on the Marngrook show. Surely not true? Only turned 29 this year and probably having his best season.

I saw it and he spoke about both Jude and luke ablett as if they were in the same situation , saying that both werent playing well and both maybe due to retire soon.

I would have been filthy being lumped in with ablett considering Judes excellent year and lukes not so excellent year.

For once I thought the analysis on fox footy teams of the swans had some good thought behind it while on marngrook , ronny burns was talking out his you know what.

An avid fan will know that Ronnie always talks out of his arse!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Watched it too before Teams. They were interesting comments but Jude is running hot while Ablett is not setting the world on fire

Am I the only one who thinks Ablett played well on Sunday? OK, he didnt set the world on fire, but certainly wasn't our worst player out there. In fact I think his last 3 weeks have been a hell of an improvement on the last 2 seasons.

Too much too little too late. I think he now realises that the swans have bought a guillotine on ebay.

I've probably been the hardest on Ablett and a lot of it, in my humble opinion on what makes an good player "good" (not elite), has been pretty much warranted.

He has got a BOOMING kick - but only if he's on the run. Unfortunately, that kick isn't very accurate and IMO, in what I think is 90% of the cases (I haven't used a calculator or looked up any significant stats) the ball is normally handed over in some way or form every time he touches it. Maybe a jinx - who knows??

Also, I think he's still suffering from the after shocks of dengue fever. I looked it up on the net before I went to FNQ (just in case), and it's a bitch of a thing to get over.

Could not agree more. I've been a critic but his last month (the Melbourne game aside) has been quite good.

Going by What Roos said in the live chat transcript from yesterday, Forward is where Ablett will most likely stay from now on.

It's a fair indictment though on how you're going when you manage to put in an "average" game that draws compliments against a team you smashed by 10 goals and was terrible.

Still @@@@ IMO and should not be getting a game ahead of half a dozen players in the magoos. And if he's going to play as a fwd, he better start kicking some of those goals that he keeps on missing.

They were pretty enthusiastic about our list going forward and special mention was made of Hannebery, Odwyer and a few others. They must have been watching the last few games as the people they commented on reflected the form shown in those two games. BUT at least they knew the names. Hannebery is making a big impression it seems with a lot of people (my self included).
