    LRT's marking

Has anyone noticed the dramatic improvement in LRT's overhead marking this year? It used to be his biggest weakness. This year he's taking 2 or 3 strong contested marks a week. Tonight's speccie was a gem.

He used to do it occasionally, but now he's doing it quite regularly. Seems much better at being able to read the ball.

He saved several certain goals, very good at timing his leap now. Wish he hadn't gone sideways to Moore tho..

Reckon Goodsey, Jesse and LRT all have half an eye on Reg's car.

Not sure if anyone else noticed it but it looked as if Mooney went up and congratulated him on that mark once the play had moved on (ie the goal had been kicked). Looked like a genuine pat on the back, not an obnoxious rubbing it in kinda act by Mooney.

He most certainly did, it was nice to see.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Can't possibly redeem the rest of his behaviour throughout his entire career (to opposition an even fans alike). Jason is a far nicer member of that family!

While we are on the topic of marking..I have been in despair for the last few years about our marking but evryone seems to have improved now that Blind Barry has gone.

Bevan took some excellent marks last night in front of packs and as a result of reading the play. LRT and Bevan who would have thought it well done you two.

LRT backs himself now and reads the play better. His on-field experience is really starting to show.

I'm going to disagree here and say that LRT, while showing loads of improved marking in the last few weeks and over the course of this season, is still exposed by quality forwards. As a big defender, taking down marks is his bread and butter.

In tight games against the top two teams, his opponents were still able to get away from him, read the play better, lead early, and kick goals. Sorry...I'm just not feeling the love. I really think Grundy will do LRT's job better in the future.

So, on that inflexible criteria, neither B2 or Scarlett deserve their spots in their teams, either? Scarlett was beaten a few times by a novice 21 year old for goodness sake.

Had a good game, but gave away 2 contested marks in the square in quick succession that almost sealed the game. Gave the Cats their 22 point lead. Aside from those marks probably broke even with Mooney.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.
