    Round 21 - Collingwood

It's hard to disagree with Roos when he says that our form over the past month has been our best for the past two years.

That said, we've now got a real pyschological test this Sunday against one of our greatest bogey sides, the in-form Magpies. And it's away from home.

I wouldn't be surprised if this year's Grand Final features Collingwood. They are playing a compelling brand of football, and it's obvious that self-belief and desire runs through the side.

There were some definite green shoots of improvement in our performance against them in Round 12. It would fantastic to see that continue this Sunday at the MCG.

It won't be enough to get us over the line, though. Collingwood by 36.

I agree with Collingwood in the Grand Final, but I feel we'll run them close as we have done with the two benchmark teams. Pies by less then 10

They first time ever I've tipped against the Swannies. A win would be so joyful.

And I don't want another close one. It's getting annoying rather than exciting.

One thing in our favour could be the bye that Collingwood had last week against Richmond. It may take the Pies a quarter or so to get used to the intensity of the game if the Swans bring what they have in recent weeks.

And our poor run against Collingwood is due to end at some stage!

That said, Pies by 3 goals.

I really, really, really want us to win this one. Honourable losses to St Kilda and Geelong I could bear, but losing to the Pies is always horrible.

Unfortunately, Collingwood are red hot at the moment; they are our bogey side; they are playing to cement a top 4 position; we are playing away from home; we will go in with 8-9 kids; and our kids might be feeling the strain of a tough couple of games (shouldn't Hannebery be back studying?).

Am looking forward to going on Sunday afternoon and being told by many magpie ferals that we wont be playing finals this year, as has been the case in the last couple of seasons when we have played them in round 21. Enjoyed proving them wrong in previous seasons, cant see it happening this season.

I'm not hopeful of beating Collingwood though we have been in red hot form without actually winning. If we can beat the Pies, I reckon we could be a real chance to make the finals. I think Essendon will struggle to win either of their remaining games and I don't see Brisbane losing to Port.

Deep down I think its over for 09 but it's been such a rollercoaster season who can say? I wrote our chances off about two months ago and now I'm typing this paragraph of borderline optimism.

The Swans will win. Last time we played them they were on a six game streak, and we came very close. This time, we r in much better form, and we have nothing to play for so the pressure is easier on us.

                              Swans by 1 point
