As for the atmosphere debate, I still believe the SCG to be superior but do concede that the perception of atmosphere is an individual thing and everyone will have a different view.

if you can keep your seats at the SCG - then get a members reserve passes in the Red Zone where we sit at ANZ Northern end - about 30 rows up behind the goals - fantastic spot! (and only 15 paces from the bar, 30 paces to the loos) we like it!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Ahhh but it's a beautifull old stand.

and if your on the lower section undercover close to the goals you can't see the top half of the goals.

During our standing ovation for Hanners, I accidently hit the lady in front of me in the head. She just doesn't get it!!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Annie - are you Barry Hall?

In any case claim incidental contact and that it was in play.

Quite understandable that injuries were caused in all the excitement!! - I was perhaps a little excited for his goal too I've been waiting for 5 games and what an awesome goal - It was "the moment" of the Swans/Geelong game on the AFL's 8 moments this week too!!!!

yes I jumped up out of my seat and did the same thing - the people who were with me (all Geelong supporters in the blue and white gear) couldnt quite understand my excitement - I explained it was the kids first goal - they then stood and applauded him too.

You still get all the vested interests and whining about certain aspects of each stadium, and using selective examples to try to convince others that the SCG or ANZ is "better", but at least no-one is still saying that "ANZ has no atmosphere" anymore.

                  Myth exploded.

ANZ stadium does nothing to help the atmosphere whereas I would argue the SCG does ??

                          It's not a "myth". It's my opinion.

You're entiled to yours as I am to mine. Although your opinion may or may not be "mythical".

I'm nursing a broken finger at the moment and in my excitement I clapped my hands together. Lets just say I will always remember Hanners first goal

                              Silly boy.

Should we ask how you broke your finger?

I'd like to say I did it in some heroic pursuit but it was the @@@@ing Brother in law who dropped a cupboard on it while I was helping him move. Now it looks like a burnt fish finger and hurts like hell.
