Seems like now would be the ideal time for Crouch to also hang up the boots. He would be part of a big farewell game with Leaper and Mick, signalling the end of an era. Then ride off into the sunset, mission accomplished ! ....but something tells me he'll go on..Thoughts anyone?
And then there was Crouch....(retiring at end of season)

By completely blanketing Aker and Milne he's proved that he's easily in our best 22.
He could easily go on, but only if the body is ok."As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.Comment

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Crouch is good enough to go on next year, but will depend on his body and whether he and the club thinik he can get another year out of it.
So far (not including Kennelly) we have 4 spots open up which probably adding in Kennelly will be close to what we end up turning over:
* BBBBH
* Leaping Leo
* Fosdike
* Magic
Maybe one of MOD or Brabazon will be cut as well.

Don't mention the war. He will go without announcing, when he feels like it, at any time, whatever.
Mind you, I will miss the little blighter. But I think he will grab another year for the hell of it.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

I hope he plays on. We are light for small defenders. He is good.The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

I sincerely hope he doesn't chuck a tiger and put his hand up for next year and then leave two weeks before the season starts.
Gotta make some heavy executive decisions now.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

He has to go is just holding back someone. Its the perfect time for him to leave an almighty farewell with Mick and Leo. Its sad Bazza couldnt get one last game with the boys, the premiership hero's all finishing up together, the end of an era.Comment

I am not sure who he would be holding back. We are/have lost some six seniors between October last year and this year. We have blooded kids, but we still need that stability core to lead the way IMHO. I prefer to have a couple of the pensioners on deck for another year at least.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

Crouch has run his race, it's time to move on. The only way to find a replacement is to play others in his role....that's what rebuilding is.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment
