I think the brissy deal will be done as they will find someone to replace Rischitelli in the deal, but in the end if 14 piques Carltons interest, i dont think it would be the worst thing for us to trade it.

You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler
So in summary (correct me if I'm mistaken), so far we've traded:
IN
Seaby
Mumford
Kennedy
McGlynn
No.14
OUT
Jolly
Buchanan
Hall
No.22
(No.70) - wouldn't use anyway
Probably swap 54 for 63 as part of the Hall deal.
Leaving picks 6, 14, 38 and 63 at the draft.
We've probably still got a few players on the table if someone wants to offer a second-round (or maybe early third-round) pick. Although you can't see that happening as swaps for those who have been named as bait (Ablett, Moore, Bevan etc).
We got Kennedy and McGlynn for a 3rd 4th and 5th rounder........
Did someone say bargain?
I don't usually post links to BF but the opening post in this thread is priceless - a Hawthorn supporter's musings on what his club has achieved this week.
Really thrilled about how things have gone this week.
Suddenly the Swans are a youthful team with plenty of depth and potential. And with 2 first rounder, it can only get better.
Seaby and Mumford are probably as good as a Jolly/Pyke ruck duo, plus we add a lot of youth. Could emerge as a really good combo over many years.
Kennedy should be a top grade inside mid. The best players available at pick 6 this year are likely to be Rohan and/or Lucas, both with great speed and skills. The Kennedy trade means we don't have to take an inside mid with this pick. There will still be some very good inside mids available at pick 14.
McGlynn reminds me a lot of Crouch, good speed, a good tagger and very good tackler, but not great foot skills. But seems to win a lot more of the ball than Crouch did. If he can play the backline tagging role and Nick Smith can hold his spot, then both Shaw and Mattner can move to the midfield, and McVeigh can go forward more often as well. This could really boost our attack next year.
McGlynn is a little goer. In and under, very brave. Can't kick over a jam tin though! Kennedy is going to come back to bite us on the arse I reckon. Good solid midfielder, downfall...probably a tad slow. The only reason we traded him is we have alot of similiar types. Really sad to see them both gone actually!

i am pretty happy with the draft this year, i think we have odne pretty well.
a good selection of yngr players there.
Kennedy will be a gun for us, in the mold of Jobe Watson they reckon...
doubt there will be much more action from us tomorrow...
Sydney yesterday attempted to get its hands on Richmond's pick No. 3 - and midfielder Dustin Martin - by offering its first two choices in the upcoming draft, numbers six and 14, to the Tigers. The idea was swiftly knocked back by Richmond, which is believed to be keen on the Bendigo onballer. Sydney is also believed to be interested in Geelong Falcons tough nut Ben Cunnington, although the same deal wasn't offered to Fremantle, suggesting Martin was their target. Neither he nor Cunnington is expected to last past pick five in the draft.
McGlynn is a little goer. In and under, very brave.
Am a little stunned that we've actually landed this bloke. My mail from inside the Hawks is that he was just about the fittest at the club - just behind Crawford before he retired - and a favourite of the coach.
This has been a seriously productive trade week and, in retaining our early picks, IMHO the club deserves a big tick.

I think Hawthorn are tanking early
We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty.
The Swans offer to Richmond is seriously amazing...almost as amazing as having it turned down!
We offered to trade picks 6 and 14 for Dustin Martin. When was the last time any club, anywhere was ever offered such draft picks for a player? Croad? (who was a 22 year old All Australian fullback at the time.
I'm astounded...they think he's worth (say) Lucas + Butcher. Surely the gap in class between the player on offer at 3 and the player on offer at 6 cannot possibly be that much. But then, BOTH clubs think so. Incredible.
