    Fev in Red and White?

Caro on Insiders on ABC TV this morning suggested that Carlton's Board were meeting tmw with Fev high on their list to discuss. She said people in the AFL (no names) were suggesting he could even be fired. And that, if so, Sydney was high on the list!
    Toss that one round folks!

Was listening to SEN yesterday morning (as you do) and Brereton was suggesting that Fevola had told Judd to @@@@ Off when Judd asked him to go home.

If that is true then Carlton has to sack him. If it is true and they don't sack him, then Carlton are a rabble irregardless of talent and they will never win a premiership under the current administration and coach.

I will seriously be pissed off if we draft Fevola. It would be so wrong on many so levels.

Too old. But could make a fine coach.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I am 99% sure that Wilson's talk about Fev coming to Sydney was based on pure speculation, itself based on historical 'bad boy' forwards pickups of Plugger and BBB, (and you can add Spida if you wish).

I wouldn't have a problem with 29 year old Fev coming up to Sydney. His alcohol problems, although to be taken seriously, are probably manageable, particularly in a no 'dick heads' culture. (Although the club should perhaps restrain an invite to Michael Clarke and his future Mrs to a social function if Fev in going to present).

The real reason why Fev shouldn't come to Sydney is that the Swans do not need him. The team is building a potentially very good full forward in Jesse White who is only aged 21.

Getting Fevola would be a terrible thing to do.

Can't say I fully agree...top teams have twin towers, Fev is a genuine full forward, Jesse should a CHF. In 2 or 3 years (if, by some miracle we are contenders) then Johnstone would be perfectly on his development path to be a THIRD tall. I'd definitely take him (even though I absolutely can't stand him).

It is believed the Sydney Swans have been monitoring the Blues' dealings with Fevola. The Swans, though, have made it known they are keen to use their first pick in the national draft on a kid.
                              It's very possible

Why would we want a 29 year old full forward when we have White and Johnstone coming up. Makes no sense.

And if we aren't going to trade our first pick, what/who are we going to give up for him?
