    Agree.

We have turned the list over with retirements and trades and have the chance to get 3 picks in the first 28 (2 in the top 10).

We should use these and look to offer up 38 and 39 for Kennedy and another ruckman that can assist Seaby in the short term.

We have enough up front with White, Goodes, Johnston and probably Currie playing as a very tall long target like Kosi at the Saints.

The argument about whether Fev is a dickhead or not is not the real issue.

Trading for him must ultimately come down to a footballing decision.

Are we better off having Fev in our forward line for 2 or 3 meaningful seasons where we're unlikely to be amongst the top sides or using a first round pick to draft a 10 year player?

I can't see any upside in making a decision based on the short term given where we're at as a club.

If we recruit Fev we might as well put White up for trade given the damage it will do to his development.

Yeah I dont think we are gonna get Fevola in the end. With the Jolly deal, I'd take Pick 14 + Dawes. Or from Hawks Pick 9 + Kennedy.
Pick 14 or 9 can be used to recruit a young gun, or a forward such as Butcher or maybe Jetta

I don't think we need Fev at this stage. I think we are still a couple of years away, so I'd prefer to get a younger midfielder.

Yes i agree if we get fevola no doubt we'd be challenging... although if we get the high draft picks were obviously likely to benefit from them more in the coming years. I would love to see fevola at Sydney but we must start to rebuild the team to guide us to a premiership. CARN SWANNYS.

                It's not because he's a dickhead, it's because he's too old.

Fox Sports is reporting that we've offered Mumford a 3 year deal....

Send the Cats pick 38 and Luke Ablett.

I'd give them pick 6, 22 and whatever else they want if they took Luke Ablett.

Mumfords deal is $1M over the 3 years - Swans see him as a direct replacement for Jolly.

For those who hadn't noticed how much better we were playing post Barry Hall, the last thing we need now is another attention seeking narcissist in our forward line.

Carlton has a really talented team. On paper, they should have done much better. Fev may kick a lot of goals, but he's not the kind of player that makes for a winning team. We don't need him. We don't want him.

The arguments against Fev are weak.

He will not hinder White's development
He will cost us the pick Jolly gets us, so we still keep a first round
He is an AA full forward. They don't grow on trees.
We will be or should be pushing for a premiership in 3-4 years, he will fit into that perfectly.

Anyone who wants us to stack the team with kids, and kids only, should follow Melbourne. Bottoming out isn't the answer and rarely works.

There seems to be serious talk in Melbne that we are right into Fev whatever Roos is saying outwardly. It appears we are getting Josh Kennedy for a second rounder too.

There is a huge danger in Sydney for an idiot like Fev, the Sydney press will just be waiting for stuff ups. The publicity, (metaphorically) will be "f*@! up joins Sydney" not the goal kicking champ!

Of course we all want an 80+ goalkicker at the club, but let's hope it's Lewis Johnston or Jesse or both.
