Although my client in Melbourne reckons that Fev would be well suited at playing for Cronulla...I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Firstly, let me say that currently I'm in the NO to Fevola camp (but must admit I'm warming to the idea).
To all those that are saying having Fev WILL hamper the development of White and Johnston, may I ask the following question-
If Hall had not had his problems last season, it could reasonably be assumed that he would be playing in our forward line for the next two years, so how does having Fev, differ from having Hall?Comment

Bet we can settle back and wait for Friday morning. We've got Seaby and the Lions have Monty and let's hope that works out well for both. Baz gave us a bit of a boost and that's an unexpected bonus for a player we sacked.
If we can be good guys and help Mrs Ruck out of the Sydney wilderness (if the apron strings are like bungy cords why won't any Melbourne club do?) then we should do it if it gives us a player of equal ability or potential. If it gives us the Coleman medallist we're in front AS LONG AS WE DON'T TRADE OUR FUTURE TO GET HIM.
So now we can settle back and watch the main event - how the Hawks screw up trade week for everyone. Antisocial trading anyone?Comment

Dawks rejected our 3rd rounder offer to get Kennedy.
Wonder if Roos still has him on the radar after all this @@@@ with Fev?
Also if Collingwood leave it to the last minute to offer us something more than decent for Jolly, we may run out of time to get Mumford.
No other word about Carlton's interest in Barlow although if Fev was to happen i may think he might be involved somehow (i.e 14 + Barlow).
Interesting couple of days await us.Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.

Roos seemed very reluctant to play White in the forward line alongside Hall last season. Instead he was confined to playing back-up in the ruck role - mostly with limited effectiveness.
The Hall events weren't what anyone would have wanted, but an upside was that it gave White a chance to play in the forward line that he might otherwise not have got. And while he clearly has a long way to go to come even close to Fevola as a forward, I think many (most?) of us were very excited by what he showed - far more than we expected he'd be able to do at this stage. Hall leaving is still sad, especially in the circumstances it happened under, but it is made more palatable by the fact we now think we've got something to look forward to next year - not White becoming the next Hall overnight but the chance to witness how he develops.Comment

Roosy actually said...?We?re not even interested in Fevola. I keep saying it but no one believes me. We?ve got nothing to trade for him so we haven?t been involved at all.?
He plays the media as they play him..take him literally. He does NOT exclude trading for Fev..he simply says with nothing to offer, there is no interest in a trade.
He leaves silent the implication as to what may happen if we DO have something to trade for him; as if, for example, new trade picks or new players arrive at our door through other deals (Jolly?)Comment

This was posted by Bronze on BigFooty:
"I will GUARANTEE you Carlton will trade Fevola. I don't know where to or what for, but it will be done.
I wrote to Carlton last week and they responded late yesterday saying Fevola will be traded and the full extent of his behaviour on Brownlow Medal will be made clear to the public after trade period ends."
I bet the Swans are checking all this too. Last year we didn't think we could turn Ben C around and Fev may be a harder cause (there are more bottle shops). Baz really let us down on the field but (as anyone who was at the CC Dinner will attest) he left the club with a lot of respect and dignity exhibited by both sides.
Fev doesn't seem to have the same dignity. And wouldn't the NRL Sydney press love it if he screwed up.
There's a balance between skill and risk. It seems to me that Fev falls on the skill side but I worry about how many clubs (including Carlton) are now showing that they regard him as firmly in the "too much risk" category.
Anyone here at the Brownlow night? Did Fev hump your leg?Comment
