Even if it's just another wild rumour at least it gets the Carlton fans riled up...lord knows we need some entertainment on an otherwise boring day of trade week

Why would Bradshaw leave The Lions?

Player has to sign a new employment contract with the club they're traded to, so they have to be willing to do so for the trade to go ahead.

Contrary to perception, a current contract doesn't simply carry over to new club - practice though is for existing terms (length, $'s etc) to be written into contract at new club - otherwise player would normally be even more reluctant to move and could demand they see out their current contract at original club.

But Fev can agree to void his contract with Carlton and agree to whatever terms he likes with Brisbane or anyone else.

Fev to Lions to bolster Brown and Bradshaw....as mentioned as another rumour on 4BC.
Would be a pretty good attack though

It's not uncommon to have false rumours bounced around about a trade obviously, but for a trade, a contract length, contract dollars, the wife being consulted and having a set number of years with at least print and radio repoting on it too.
In case nothing comes off and Carlton retain him, they need to plant enough stuff out there to convince everyone they did what they could to ditch him.

(The Lions yarn is either another example of this or makes it redundant).

You're opinion is that Fev would hinder White's development.

I think that experienced players aid the development of younger players.

As to your second point, I will say that I am not one of those who have written the Swans off for the next 4 years as they are in some sort of 'redevelopment stage'. I have faith that the Swans will be a force next year

That's great, but to me being a force means top 4, I'm realistic enough to say that wont happen but I have faith in our youngsters unlike some.

It is real party time, as the Hawks 9th pick looks like it's back on the table as the Burgoyne deal is likely not to be done with the Hawks after todays events. Why anyone would deal with Pelchan is beyond me and the idiot at Port that opened his mouth to Michelango Rucci is a nutter.

Look for Essendon to offload their first pick they got another for Lovett) and someone like Nash for Burgoyne.

This means the Hawks are offically in the market for a ruckman and pick 9 is in play with Kennedy thrown in.

We can then turn our attention to Mumford for some sort of picks deal involving a combo of our 28, 38 and 39 and Geelong's picks, while resting in the knowledge we have pick 6 & 9 in the bag.

Not if said older player takes said younger players position.
