    Thanks for nothing Foxtel!

I know this has been dealt with in the Gameday comments but I thought it deserved it's own thread.

I probably have no right to complain as I don't subscribe to Foxtel but I went down to the Rising Sun Hotel in South Melbourne to be with other Swans fans to watch the last game of 3 of our club's champions. I reckon barely 10 seconds had passed after the final siren when, with no warning at all, the coverage crossed to an English soccer match. The farewells, the interviews, the tears, the laps of honour, retirees being chaired off - Foxtel viewers missed them all! What a disgrace! It was a huge disappointment to Swans fans who couldn't get to the game and the height of disrespect to our retiring stars!

As I said, I don't subscribe to Foxtel. And now I never will!

I love my Foxtel but from what I've read here tonight it was utterly unacceptable not to show the the games emotional aftermath.

Smarten up your act Foxtel or people will start voting with their feet.

I recorded both Channel 10 and Fox, neither Channel had much on of the aftermatch ceremonies.

Ditto. I sent them an e-mail complaint telling them. Fancy crosing to a pissant soccer game - it really is a boring game.

I e-mailed too, including an incredulous "ENGLISH soccer match." Pissant outfit.

I agree, I went back to foxtell news and seen the tears and brought tears to my eyes.
Very sad day, I still think Micky could have gave another year, he still as good as most forwards in the comp.

Dont really want to talk about the game it was all about the three lads and the memories

Total lack of respect from Foxtel.

A mate of mine sent the funniest e-mail I have ever seen as a complaint to a company. Didn't help that he was three sheets the wind at the time.

Hopefully they will decide to play the game as their game of the week midweek and we get to see some of the aftermatch for the first time.

Ditto about an email. A bloody soccer game is bad enough. But an English one!

The lap of honour capped off a wonderful night: an exciting, competitive game but with the wrong result for us.

The three players walked a lap (anticlockwise) with the team following them inside. The Lions players respectfully stayed on the ground near their exit race until the Swans came around. Handshakes and slaps on the back all round. Amid all the hooting and hollering the Swans continued around to where we were in front of the MA Noble. I noticed some wet eyes, and not just the players! Air was thick with emotion and it was difficult not to have been moved by it all. Even the younger players observing all of this would be storing away some precious memories and no doubt in time will appreciate the place they (the players and club) occupy in our hearts and minds.

Oh, and did I mention....I managed to get Bob Skilton's and Paul Kelly's autographs....hehe.....
