Well, it's all over for the year. Thanks to everyone who participated in my weekly opinion polls throughout the season.
Some facts and figures:
* 199 separate respondents voted at least once
* 103 respondents from last year didn't vote at all
* the average number of respondents per poll was 51
* the greatest number of respondents was 75 in Round 7, for Geelong at Skilled Stadium
* the least number of respondents was 12 in Round 22, for Brisbane at the SCG (the same round for this category as last year - has everyone lost interest by then?)
And now for the awards:
The Coleman Medal (for tipping the most correct results) goes to... Yours Truly. I tipped correctly 18 times out of 22 games. I would have tipped 19 if I had voted with my head and not my heart in Round 3, when we played the Lions in Brisbane.
Once again, last year's winner, ScottH, was the only respondent who tipped with me in every round. This year, Scott came second, tipping 17 times out of 22. How's that for consistency?
The Nostradamus Award (for tipping the most correct results AND correct margins) goes to... Yours Truly, and AnnieH. We tipped the double 4 times. Last year's winner in this category tipped the double 9 times, so I suppose generational change is making the team more unpredictable.
The Must-Try-Harder Award (for most incorrect tips) goes to... Aaron, who tipped zero out of 8 polls. Incidentally, the winner of this award last year, Marshall G, did much better this year, tipping 5 correct results in 5 polls. Great improvement!
The Bullseye Award (tipped once, tipped the correct result and margin - and were never heard from again) goes to...bighaz, givekidsakick, and once again, wedge.maverick.
There was no Group Perfection Award this year. The closest we all came was Round 8 against West Coast, when 96% of us tipped the correct result.
