Fortunate they were not playing the Crows, altho would have got a lot closer than the Bombers. 52 goals in two weeks. 66 goals against Essendon in the last three games against them.

In a way I'm happy that we didn't finish 8th because of our poor record against the Crows since Neil Craig became coach. We wouldn't have lost by 96 points though...
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

It feels like that for me too. Am hating feeling excluded from the first week of the finals, no matter how much I want the Crows, Dogs, Brisbane and Collingwood to win.

                Finals Shminals!!!

I'm so over the fact that we're not in them, that I can't even be bothered watching them.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

My thoughts exactly. Had we limped into the finals in eighth place it would have been a very tough gig. We at least finished the season strongly with a few competitive losses. Essendon's last game is one they would rather forget. Gawd I hate the Crows!

Still, a loss like that can make you a stronger team if you can use it properly. I think the Cats gained a lot from that loss in the 2005 Semi Final: I'm sure it influenced the team they subsequently became.

Was worth watching the Lions and the Blues last night. Was a cracker of a game, even if neither side is of the quality required to win the flag this year.

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

It was really enjoyable watching that game last night. I so wanted the lions to win and therefore got right into it, without the heart attacks I would have suffered if the swans were playing.

                        This explains some things...

Last night was pretty exciting and the Crows were impressive on Friday. Today's game will be a beauty.

Am watching it on replay today and its been a great game to watch, wanting Brisbane to win but without the stress I feel when watching Sydney play finals footy. Bradshaw's match winning goal was an absolute ripper. Love the atmosphere that the Gabba helps to produce too - such a good stadium for footy.

                            Like what for instance???

Excuse me if I've got other things to do this September.

Although, I will say that it's good to see Carlton erased. Damn. All that tanking for nothing!!

The look on Judds and Fevs faces at the end of that game was a joy to behold, nearly as enjoyable as Mooneys in 05!
