Yeah, that seemed the obvious one.
Others who they sounded iffy about were...
Laidlaw
Schmidt
Playfair
Three players with ongoing injury issues, you wouldn't think they would want to carry all three into next year. IMO Playfair should be first of these to go. We know what he brings to the table....and it isn't much.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

With the wording used you could say Braba is gone, which doesn't surprise me, lots of energy but just not ..... in the right league.
I trust they will give Scmidt another year, he is worth it.
Don't know what the reading of Henry meant.
They obviously have wraps on Buchanan, and that pleases me.
A very interesting read.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

Gee, I hope they don't give up on Laidlaw now. I know his body has struggled to stay on the paddock, but his final game for the magoos this year was truly a thing of great beauty, especially for a club that needs to reshape its forward line over the next year or three.Comment

Nicely put Liz a thing of great beauty indeed.
I really hope they persevere.Comment

As much as I agree and cross fingers, etc, I keep thinking Heath James. No matter how much they persisted, no matter how he kept at it, he kept doing his hammy. It just wasn't fair.
Its rather ironic he is now our runner, and it gives me a kick to see him out there now.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

Couldn't agree more. He sounds like a real talent.
Also I thought the comment on Veszpremi was odd - he seemed pretty comfortable to me, but maybe Horse is a hard marker, and I dare say he sees more than I do.Last edited by dimelb; 16 September 2009, 11:28 AM.He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. It's getting very lonely here on the Laidlaw bandwagon.....please one more year"The Dog days are over, The Dog days are gone" Florence and the MachineComment

Yep, agree, though it looks like he expects Playfair to stay. I guess with Playfair, he was backup to Hall and MOL, now he's backup to White and competing with Johnston to be the other tall forward. The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment

They have perservered this far with Laidlaw, so I hope he gets another chance.
Not much effusive praise for anyone really - bar a couple of the obvious. What is it with the coaches and Goodes? They seem to mark him harder than anyone else (although I realise that he marks himself hard as well).Comment
