Yes, seems to be the code word. INteresting remarks on a few of the players.

    I agree with these:
Barlow: He showed some signs; he just needs to be more consistent.

Buchy: Once again, he?s a player that we know when he?s up and firing is probably in the top five players for us.

    Hmmm:
Vespa:he played a bit at half back in the reserves and looked good, so that?s an opportunity for him in the pre-season.

Malceski: He?s got high expectations of himself next season, so we?re expecting a big pre-season from him. We all are.

I interpret the comments on Playfair as the club not really expecting his body recover to a point of being able to play AFL football again. Playfair said as much himself in an interview mid-season. It's up to him to prove otherwise.

Why the hmm on Vesz? He won AA U18 selection as a back pocket

Also I thought the comment on Veszpremi was odd - he seemed pretty comfortable to me, but maybe Horse is a hard marker, and I dare say he sees more than I do.
I can see Veszpremi being groomed as a Hodge type player down back with Mattner moved to a wing. From the reserve reports it sounded like he played well there.

Too small to play the Hodge quarterback role. Could easily play rebounding HBF like Kennelly and Shaw.

No surprises, Brabazon was the likely delisting due to not being up to standard and probably one of Playfair, Laidlaw, DOK or Schmidt will go due to persistent injuries but all are except Playfair are likely to survive due to the large amount of retirements.

Just read through the pointless blog...He obviously disagrees with the Swans getting the 15% extra living allowance towards the cap (something even fast Eddie now agrees with).
He did no homework and had nothing, either interesting or insightful, to say..

I guess because apart from playing all his few league games in the forward line, Vez acts like a forward. Or maybe he does those extravagant celebrations because he know he's going to spend the rest of his career running the lines......

Anyway, I look forward to he and Shaw making yards through the middle next year.

Pointless Blog! Here are Lethal's words of wisdom

I have probably broken some forum rule about quoting too much, but I was reading this in Excel (I copy and paste items as text into Excel and then freeze panes so that anyone walking past thinks that I am working away on the latest forecast or whatever whilst reading.) and had already filtered-out the questions and just read Leigh's controversial() replies.

They are not too dissimilar in height though there is an 8kg weight difference:

                          Veszpremi 181 cm 84kg
                          Hodge 184 cm 92kg

Surprised not many people picked up on that line. That's quite a big call for a player who has really seemed to be on the fringe for a while.

It was interesting watching the highlights of the 2007 prelim against St Kilda. In our late burst which put us into the GF, Buchanan, Crouch and Schneider were crucial.
