It also mentions that Melbourne clubs were interested in LRT.
And the swans "may make a play for out-of-contract West Coast flanker Mark Nicoski"
And
Sydney could add two Eagles to its 2010 list as it is well down the track in negotiations to add out-of-contract West Coast ruckman Mark Seaby, who is keen to pursue his career elsewhere.
And
The Swans yesterday again ruled out interest in out-of-contract St Kilda midfielder Luke Ball
We're a year too late for Eagles - Cuz and Kerr would have done wonders for us last year.
Yeah Kerr would have been awesome. He played so much footy, quality footy too, really contributed to the Eagles. Plus he didn't even punch a team mate or taxi driver!
I think Roe is the first player on the market that we havent been linked to.
Not surprised at the interest in LRT as there are few big bodied defenders going around and he is probably approaching prime age considering his late start to the game.
Well done Lewis and the Swans. His recognition by other clubs is thoroughly deserved and a testament to how hard he keeps working to improve himself as a player.
I can't wait to see what gems Robert Walls comes out with next season with regard to LRT, considering he started the "all teams are playing through the weakest link" diatribe in 2008 after one @@@@ty game against Collingwood when our midfield got smashed.
Oi Scott - do you have a spell check on Tadhg?????

Reason: I had a tadgh moment.

More evidence that tall defenders are a priceless species. With LRT, Grundy and Richards, we may not have an AA defence, but there are plenty out there that would envy us.

Fancy us having players that are sought after by other clubs..we are going up in the world.
That's a very silly statement.
Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
Still it is unusual to read about Sydney players being sounded out by other clubs - we have such a stable base of players. Admittedly the higher salary cap must act as a deterrent.
That said, LRT''s a quality player - big, a very safe mark, an OK kick, and is incredibly mobile for size - he makes quite a few yards for us just with his carry - and he can pinchhit in the ruck. I've read Leo tipping him as a future leader of our back six. I'm glad he's renewed.
The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news
