I see they are getting better service than our function there. They have bottles of wine on the table, we had to fight to have our glasses filled with wine or water and they even refused jugs of water on the table.

Gary Ablett wins the Brownlow in the round against us.

Goodes only got 2 in the Pies match which means he won't get to the 20 mark this year.

ETA: LMAO at Goodes and Black. Black beat him in the last round. Goodes finished with 17, 13 behind Ablett.

Seeing those two boys (Black and Goodsy) having fun is a great sight.

Glad to see the relief in Ablett's face, he can now more or less relax now that the great expectation is out of the way, and get on with the rest of this week.

Classic Cooney, destressed the moment beautifully.

An interesting sidenote for me on the count - Richmond's leading votegetter was Richo, playing only 6 games.

                I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

Shame his old man wasn't there. Good to see Gablett smiling, because he's not very attractive when he isn't but he is an amazing player, right or left foot, a big kick, love his kicking style, kicks it very low down, very powerful thru the ball. Sandy is a bit of a retard with his questions, but is pretty relaxed about his job and looked like he was offering Ablett a meeting with Tiger. Gary didn;t seem to get that bit.

Winners and losers of the night:
                    Big Winner: Gary Ablett
Winner: Jono Brown's interview - literally LOL

Loser: Sandy Roberts - why drag golf into the interview?!
Big Loser: Andrew Demetriou - someone tell this dimwit that his pregnant......pauses are passe.

Goodesy robbed of a few votes, I reckon. Not that he would have won it, but he should have had 3 votes against the Dogs and at least one against Hawthorn. I reckon the umpires have reacted to outcries in the media that Goodes was favoured in the Brownlow (understandably, he got a fair few votes last year that he shouldn't have), and have overcorrected. Probably did the same in the other direction for Gablett, though I think he was still a fair winner.

                          I almost lost my dinner.
When I saw that on the telecast I immediately thought "who's the tranny?" OMG!!!! And the bloke went a bit over board with the "just for men" hair dye!

Dunno who was in charge of editing on 7HD but it was truly appalling and really you didnt get to see that many of the Laydees on the blue carpet.

Noticed a number of gals in the "family way" and I thought they all looked stunning (when in truth they would rather be at home with their feet up in something a bit more comfy)

I thought that Tom Harleys girl looked the nicest followed by Lil Gazza's girl Lauren -they looked elegant and weren't putting it out there like the Twig was.
The Twig is just way too high maintenance and thinks that the Brownlow is all about her now (looks fade luv, looks fade, sad but true !!!) and Dane Swans bird with the Diamond encrusted number was doing really well until she spoke - the American airhead twang UGHHHH!!!! (yes I'm sounding like a jealous old hag - and you would all be right in thinking that too! )

Mrs Fev had the cats bum frown on most of the night because she finally came to the realisation that she is actually married to the games most consumate dickhead!

I just wish that one of the WAGS had of said when asked as to who they were dressed by "Well I ran this up at home on the Jenome, thanks to Spotlight for the fabric, and my jewellery is from Target" just to bring things back down to earth a bit.

As for the voting - I kind of figured that our Adam wouldnt win the choccies, so for me it was a tie between little Gaz & the lovely Johnno Brown (as long as it wasnt Judd!) - imagine how good Johnno's speech would have been if he had of won, as he was throwing the crownies back it would have been hilarious. But Lil Gaz finally got the big monkey off his back.

Adam & Simon made a lovely couple obviously sharing the same chair - aww lovely!

Sandy had to throw in the promo for the Golf into the conversation because 7 havent got the granny this year - still it was a stupid thing to say that Tiger Woods would want to meet Gary Ablett - even Little Gazza was perplexed by that one.

The winner for the worst suit of the night goes to Dennis Cometti - god only knows where he found that number that was way too tight, and I think that he must have worn it to his wedding back in 1976!

But its over for another year - bring on Saturday!!

Ch 7 spent haf the night advertising themselves.

The Curry and Lawson Legend segment was a waste of time.

Did anyone notice how fast the votes were read for the first few rounds? Obviously so 7 can fit in more guff and more advertising.

yeah I noticed that - I had a fear that they were going to have an add break between each round - thankfully they didnt otherwise the telecast would still be going now and Johnno Brown would have been really hammered.

Brownlow vote club by club | Brownlow Medal | 2009 Brownlow Medal vote count live ? HeraldSun.com.au | Herald Sun

We may have a perception that the umpires don't like us when it comes to free kicks, but they don't mind handing out Brownlow votes to Swans. Not surprisingly, the team totals bear a strong correlation to the league ladder, with the Swans and Lions the two finishing clearly higher in the totals count than their ladder position.

Was quite surprised the number of times Swans got votes in games when we were quite convincingly smashed - the Essendon and second Carlton games being two stand-outs, and of course Goodes' three in the first Geelong game. In contrast, there were a couple of tight games where we got up and the opposition couldn't snare even one vote, like the West Coast game.
