One doesn't have to agree with those arguments to at least acknowledge they are views others might reasonably hold and which have nothing to do with people sitting in moral judgement.

Hey liz do you personally think we should go after Fevola, or would you rather keep pick 14 and let the younger players develop?

        Again .....

        THE ROOSEY SAYS NO

(Use your best travel agent lady voice from Little Britian.)

Swans restate lack of interest in Fevwit

Carlton restate lack of interest in Fevwit
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

So in "Roos Speak" that means Yes then! wont believe it until they have completed all negs by the designated time on Friday and then they move on to the next round.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Exactly - as much as I want him in Sydney, its other peoples decision not ours. We have to just wait and see.

My own view is that I would rather we kept Jolly. However, whether to recruit Fevola or not is essentially independent of the Jolly decision (at least in one direction) and if we got pick 14 (or similar) from a Jolly trade I would rather we kept it.

Further than that, I am in the "don't want Fevola" full stop camp based on a combination of

                - the opportunity cost of a trade for him
                - the dollar cost of his salary
                - whether I think he will have a positive, neutral or negative impact on the Swans short, medium and longer term onfield prospects
                - whether I think he will have a positive impact on Sydney's off-field profile in Sydney

The "dickhead" factor is a small part of my decision making process but a very small part. And more from whether he'll be a disruptive influence at the club than for any moral judgements on his off-field behaviour. If I thought he genuinely wanted a change for his own benefit it would carry less weight for me. But nothing he has said indicates he is happy with what Carlton are doing with him. I confess it does concern me that Carlton, who from a purely footballing point of view would be complete idiots to get rid of him based on where their squad currently is, have decided he is beyond redemption does concern me.

To those who reckon that Fevwit will win us a flag (coleman medallist, 100 goals a season, blah, blah, blah) ... if Carlton are in a better position to win a flag in say, the next two years, than we are - why don't they want to keep him??

They know he's a loose cannon.

We seriously don't need baggage like that.

Earlier on in this saga, it seemed to me that what Roosy really wanted to say on the Fevola issue was something along the lines of "Geez mate, we've just gotten rid of one d*** h***, why on earth would we want another?" I reckon most of the players and staff of the club might share that thought. Frying pan and fire is a concept that comes to my mind.
Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.

Continuing a grand tradition. I'm trying to recall who from RWO was at a book signing and offer to help spell "Capper" to which Warwick replied "hey mate, I do the comedy around here!"

We had Nick Davis on our table in 07 and to say he was not the most helpful is an understatement, but next to Fev I reckon Davo would look like Einstein!

Why can't we just accept the fact (gratefully) that the Swans are not interested in Fev and be done with it. What's with all the conspirecy (sic) theories! We have never been that sneaky. That's Port and Hawthorne's job .

And the man is a tool. Hilarous but a tool nonetheless. And we have KPPs in the forward line. Hardly used too. Still under warrantee and likely to last. None of whom have given us a moment's unrest with their personal life. Enough already.

I am going to have a cup of tea, and huge choccy biccy and not read another post until Friday....or maybe even SATURDAY!!! There, that should learn ya!!

did you not see the smiley??? yes its become tiresome to talk about - but in the end absolutely none of us have any say in it, but we can have thoughts on the matter - so if Fev does come s great - embrace a new beginning for a problem child - if he doesnt then so be it we havent lost anything - sheesh! oh and never been that sneaky - Roos has one of the best poker faces going around!
