    Welcome to Sydney Mr Mumford

Seaby got his own thread so it only seems fare that Mummy (must think up a better nick than that) get his.

Liked what I saw when he played this year so I think we have drafted a good one.

Welcome to Sydney Shane...The best of luck to you.

He's all grown up now, so...

Perfect replacement for Jolly. Bash and Crash type ruckman. 2nd efforts are his forte.

        Who????

Couldn't make their GF team, how good is he really???

We are desperate, now that Jolly had left.

And to train a good ruckman, takes years.

Yet again, we blow it in trade week.

Should have held on to Jolly for one more season.

Tom Hawkins didn't make their Gf team in 07, he seems a pretty good player!

On the subject of nicknames, there was a character on either the Muppet show or Sesame Street who was a magician, he was called "The Amazing Mumford", so "Amazing" could be a possibility!

I'll stick my neck out and say this a great selection - he will take time but we have salvaged something out of Jolly wanting to leave and got two ruckmen to work with while some younger ones develop. Mumford will play a key role at the Swans for the next 6+ years.

We can concentrate on KPP and midfielders in the draft now.

Jolly couldn't make it as a first ruck at Melbourne either...

I reckon Roos et al know what they are doing.
There also seem to be a few pissed off Cats fans too, which is a good sign

Yes, but Geelong choose their best players for the GF.

And he was not one of them now was he????

                Make you wonder.

You're right, why didn't we trade pick 38 for Joel Selwood.

McVeigh didn't make our 2005 GF team in his 3rd year on our list. Mumford didn't make the Cats' in his second.

                          The Egyptian!!!

Glad to get the big mummified unit with a bit of hustle and bustle in the center square.

If you think this is a bad trade go talk to soem Geelong supporters and see how devastated they are.
