With the length of the contract and the dollars all based on being a talented young big bloke who plays a tough position to fill and has shown potential in around 20 senior AFL games, I wonder how Jesse White feels about the dollars compared to his recent contract renewal!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Maybe he just feels a sense of relief that we're no longer paying about $25,000 per game to watch Baz tantrums?

Or maybe wishing he'd stayed in basketball where Mumford's salary would be a US player's beer money?

Would there really be any AFL player who renewed his salary after playing 18 games in a premiership year who'd be on $60,000? Surely Geelong would have been offering over $150,000 and we just upped it to be unmatcheable in a team paying for Scarlett, Ablett etc?
