    Best Guess?

Let's cut to the chase - where do you think the Swans will finish up next year?

With the possibility that Bradshaw may go to Melbourne, we should look at both possibilities.

    I'll go first.

    With Bradshaw - finish 5th
    Without Bradshaw - finish 7th

That's showing great faith in the coaching staff. If they stuff up, we'll be out of the eight in 2010 and those positions are likely to be our finishing position in 2011.

    Noone game?

Go on, what are the chances that someone will hold it over your head when we're going for a priority pick next year when you had us Premiers . . .

      with Bradshaw = Premiers by 10 goals+
without Bradshaw = Premiers by under 10 goals.

OK ... even though it's far, far, far too early to predict something like this ...

We'll finish 6th - with or without Bradshaw. We've got the talent and the drive to do it.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

If we can cover the loss of Magic and BBBH with Bradshaw and White and we have a good run with injuries.... I expect us to play late into the finals we were not far away against the GF teams late in the season. We need to be able to beat Collingwood, Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs along the way though!!!

i think 7th with or without Bradders....
i dont think we will go deep into the finals though.
we have traded to be competitive i the next 2-4 years.
But i like our list it looks exicting if we can pick up a yng ready made player in the draft who can slot in..you just never know.

5-9. If we get Bradshaw and Kennelly, then I think the higher end is reasonable. It all depends on injuries and how other teams develop, of course.

                Most likely 6-10.
If the new trades gel and we have a good run wtih injuries we could well go higher.

An the basis that we have a fully fit squad to choose from..
                  With Bradshaw - 1-8th
                  Without Bradshaw - 9-16th

I don't believe the outcome will depend on Bradshaw. If we don't get Bradshaw, we'll need Goodes to kick the goals. If we do get Bradshaw, then we'll need Goodes to deliver the ball to him.

If Goodes plays all 25 games, we'll give the finals a good shake. If he gets a long term injury, we'll be lucky to finish 16th.

If Goodes plays all 25 games we'll be giving the finals a very good shake! Go Adam!

But I don't like the idea of finishing lower than 16th. Bet we'd score some priority picks though.

What's with all this 'without Bradshaw' predicting?

                        5th - with Bradshaw.

probably 6th for 2010, but lets aim higher!

my prediction is 6th for 2010.

if we do get bradshaw (probable) and a the mad irishman (looking more likely - hopefully fit) we just may have a chance at 4th or 5th if we can have a good year with injuries and elevate players on merrit, not just to fill holes.

i believe with our improvements in the younger players at the back end of 2009 this is possible. There are a number of players in this young team (yes we do have a young team now) who are on the cusp of making of breaking their careers. Lets hope they take that next step. It really will be a rebuilding year for us to get the team in a position to have a chance at top 4 by 2011/12.

but you never know........ footy is a funny game and all supporters hold out that faint hope that thier team can exceed all expectations and produce a miracle season where everything falls into place (just like 2005!)

                              one can only dream !!!!!!!!!!
