Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Liked what I saw, but needs more game time for a fair assessment.

        5.

Really liked what I saw. But didn't see enough of him to make a reallly informed decision/assessment. Therefore, a 5. Enough to encourage him to do better and to few for him to get a swollen footballers ego.

        Hope he emerges in 2010.

7.Looked good from what I saw of him. He did not seem out of place in the seniors and hopefully will get another chance in 2010 before too long.

            3.

Wasn't on the park long enough to make a meaningful contribution to the side.

Did show glimpses that he has what it takes to be a good footballer for years to come.

I voted seven for the games he played, not the games he didn't. Smart, smart young man. Quick and clean. Can see play in advance. Looking forward to his future with us.

Just in case you didn't know, he broke his arm in a ressies match about mid way through the year, that's why he didn't make a reappearance

Quality was promising, more quantity needed.
                    Looking forward to 2009.

As some have said, I liked a lot of what I saw from Brett this year, but due to his unfortunate injury in the reserves, we weren't able to see as much of him as we would have liked. IMO would have played at least another 6-8 games if he didn't break down and is a very good prospect.

                        5/10

Like others have said a little hard to rate, though Im biased coz I know the family. Still I rekon he will be a VERY good AFL player in years to come.

Brett, makes things happen and has great ability to find space and be in the right spot when required. Reads the footy as good as anyone.

Great kick and user of the footy, needs to improve his fitness and his belief.
Once he does people will start talking about Brett Meridith.

Thanks for that 2005, nice to get some inside info. I rate the kid and was very disappointed for him when I saw him clutching his arm during a ressies game.

I think he is a senior player in waiting and I agree with you, he does make things happen. Let him know my mob have been talking about his talent for the last year or so, and we are looking forward to him quietly making an impact. A little bit reminds me of B1 at the same age, but more assured at this stage of his career. B1 always looked like an overanxious labradore pup, bouncing around the pack. Merry looks more aware of where he wants to be in the next play.
