This means that we'll be buying tickets for individual games outside Sydney and won't be taking up the Canberra/three cities option. I know we're not the only people who were double-membershipped, so there will be a dip in member numbers as a result.
Bear in mind that, at least to a degree, the changes in the Canberra-based membership are driven by the fact that the Swans only play one game there in 2010.

Hmmmmm, A pity the 8 game class doesn't include the Olympic Stad. or SCG rather than just the SCG. That might've got me over the line this year.

You could try one of the 3 game memberships, they let you go to any game at SCG or ANZ...

I've often thought about double dipping. However I tend to buy tickets for a variable bunch of people at the Canberra games so prescribed seating doesn't work for me there. And I find eBay provides better seating to the Melb games. I'll probably stick to jsu the Sydney based option for the time being even though I'm in Canberra.

Did that the previous few years but probably got to an additional 4 or 5 games so was looking to up it a little for 2010.

Not happy at all- I can't make it up for every home game so a full membership is an expensive way to do it, but I want to go to more then 3 games as well without the pain of having to buy tickets for games.

Very disappointed as 5 was a nice number of games and about usually what I get to in Sydney (Plus the Canberra games and usually a couple of Melbourne games as well which I just bought tickets for.) Might end up going for the full membership of the 11 games in the Red Zone, but still a bit annoyed they got rid of the other option.

Sounds like there has been plenty of positive changes however since last years debacle so generally it sounds like a step in the right direction.
I read a letter my mum received a few weeks back from the Swans saying that they were dropping the Country Membership altogether this year for new members HOWEVER it said that if you already had this type of membership that they would continue to let her have it if she renewed 2010. It didnt say they were changing the options you were allowed though.

On another note the family membership of 2 adults 1 child (wow family) does anyone know if a child turns 16 in three weeks time is still a full time student with two years of high school left lives at home cant drive drink or vote can no longer be included in a 'family membership' and has to purchase a concession ticket that is more expensive (pushes my membership up $200) on her own ?

I didn't see that bit on the letter as the letter is at my parents place (I.e. for the last 3 years I've tried to change my details but they keep not changing them- guess I should just ring them might help lol), but that would be nice if I am able to renew it the same, as it suits me. Though I am tempted by a full membership too, as I'll be finished uni and working full time so will have more $$$ + free weekends to get to sydney more often.

Yep, it's a shame that the negotiations didn't work out.

I imagine that the new membership arrangement will suit quite a few people who do at least one trip from Canberra to each of Melbourne and Sydney. But 1xCanberra + 2xMelbourne as an option would have kept people like us on the books.

I havent got my pack yet, but I tried to renew online today and it was useless, it wouldnt let me pay and it said that I didnt owe them anything - which is completely wrong seeing as I havent paid a cent over for this year yet. I looked at my personal details and it had my work address on there instead of my home address (god knows why)- so if it comes to work - I may not see it come up from our mail room until early next year!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Had all the same issues so I rang the membership department, renewed while chatting to a nice lassy, and complained about the website; they didn't know. So Wardy go and have a whinge with them, squeaky wheel etc.
