I was taken aback by the photo of him in Pies clobber. I knew he was going to the centre soon to be formerly known as Lexus, but I didn't imagine the whole sordid scenario.
The two things I really liked about him were his deadeye kicking for goal - I'll always remember that steadier from the pocket in the granny (he was never going to miss); and the fact that after that first year he really did shoulder the load. With due respect to Doyle, Everitt, Pyke et al.

Who was the last Swan to leave (permanently) for another AFL club?

Voluntarily....good question. Can't think of one besides the mass exodus of the 80's and the new recruits leaving in the 90's - Rocca, et al.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

It could be our slogan during draft week:

"Sydney Swans - the club you'll never leave*"

I thought he was delisted....either way he wasn't getting much of a game.

No, I think he asked to leave so he could be closer to home, and he wasn't getting much of a go here. However he arrived at Adelaide instead. An Adelaide friend asked for my thoughts which were "great hands, can't run". After the first few games he emailed me back as said "I agree". HOWEVER, the man has grown into himself and has become a seriously useful unit. Last game for us was THAT game against Port in 2003.
