I was taken aback by the photo of him in Pies clobber. I knew he was going to the centre soon to be formerly known as Lexus, but I didn't imagine the whole sordid scenario.
The two things I really liked about him were his deadeye kicking for goal - I'll always remember that steadier from the pocket in the granny (he was never going to miss); and the fact that after that first year he really did shoulder the load. With due respect to Doyle, Everitt, Pyke et al.
Who was the last Swan to leave (permanently) for another AFL club? The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment

The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

It could be our slogan during draft week:
"Sydney Swans - the club you'll never leave*"

No, I think he asked to leave so he could be closer to home, and he wasn't getting much of a go here. However he arrived at Adelaide instead. An Adelaide friend asked for my thoughts which were "great hands, can't run". After the first few games he emailed me back as said "I agree". HOWEVER, the man has grown into himself and has become a seriously useful unit. Last game for us was THAT game against Port in 2003.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment
