    Big Bad Barry's Bad T...

    ...iming

Any insider knowledge on reasons behind the timing of Barry Hall's surgery?

If I heard the news report correctly, he has just had surgery on his foot or ankle, is on crutches, and won't even be able to run for another month. I only fully tuned in in time to hear Rodney sounding less than impressed and suggesting that Baz might have thought to have the op right after he finished playing for us last season.

Don't know that he's on crutches seeing as I walked past him at Chadstone this afternoon and there wasn't anything tucked under his arms. He seemed to be walking ok....

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I saw something on the late sports the other night and Rocket wasn't too happy that he had chosen now to have his surgery, suggesting that it may have been better to have had it just after he left the swans.

          Oh der.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Really, Jon Ralph - "wrap sheet" - sounds like a shroud. I hope Baz does a bit better than that.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

And the Bulldogs have put Baz on notice:

We appear to have had the same response! Good luck to him, he is still a swan, but oh dear, do they all really believe he is going to be squeaky clean on the ground (off the ground I have no problems with, he's lovely)....
