    the change of the guard

The below 13 or so guys are all 18 to 21yrs of age and represent a large part of our future........half will come and go but half will be persisted with. Add to that the 22/23 yr olds in Mumford, Moore, Barlow, Jack etc and we have such a nice blend for 2010 and beyond..............2010 we can be very competitive

White and Hannebery seem a step above but the other 11 or so young ones have so much to play for at training and game day.....it is just so motivating to know that Bird, Kennedy, Meredith and Smith etc can certainly handle Seniors and do appear like they will keep developing with each game played

But the unknowns like Gordon and O'dwyer who look likely as athletes could jump ahead and surprise us all !!......Gordon has that fire in his eyes and body language........and is running 10min even 3kms pre season

The competition is so fierce when I look at a few different team combos it is most likely when all players are available my guess is there is only space for 4 max of the below guys in the 22...........

I am just pumped for 2010 and I can not wait to get to that SCG !!

    1. White
    2. Hannebery
    3. Vespa
    4. Meredith
    5. O'dwyer
    6. Bird
    7. Kennedy
    8. Johnson
    9. Smith
    10. Thornton
    11. Campbell
    12. Currie
    13. Gordon

With No 6 and 14 pick as well ie lets say a Gary Rohan gets picked up he is such a mercurial forward that I honestly believe that this kid could play midway thru 2010 off the bench and get 30mins or so in the Seniors forward line. He is a weapon.

For fun it would be interesting to list the seniors games played in 2010 against all 13 listed above !

    No - no it wouldn't.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

And we still have 5 days to the draft as well.

I'm having an attack of the vapours!

          Me too.

I don't think that I have been this excited by a pre-season since we drafted Plugger.
We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty.
