when I go back and have a geez at some of the interviews with Kirk, ROK, Leo, Mick O, Bolton etc.......it strikes me how close these guys were and I cant help but be reminded of how much Roo's built something special.
the lads of 2004,05,06,07,08 and even 2009 had an amazing force field that permeated far and wide.
They mentored players ie Mick O was H Grundy's mentor. They had guys who went out of their way to enrol and engage the young players
They were tight !......there was a positive spiral and a crystal clear game plan to follow and at the epi centre has been Brett Kirk for some 8 or so years.
Yes we had some good footballers but the true test will be how we replace the sensitivity that Paul Roo's possesses. The inate understanding of leading men and men leading other young men.
Roo's had this in spades and he obviously surrounded himself with other emerging leaders and teachers such as Johnny L, Ross Lyons, Brett Alison etc
Now we have Stewie Dew in the fold and I am looking forward to hearing positive feedback that Dew has with Johnston, White, Rohan etc
