Just saw our new draftees on the telly. They are very skinny kids. Doubt we'll see them on the SCG next year.

      Big Christmas lunch coming up!

Jetta and Dennis-Lane are the most likely to play. Rohan an outside chance, Sumner more unlikely and Reid no chance in hell.

Look, just to keep you lot happy, I will see if I can make it to the Wednesday morning training and send a report back on whether or not I consider the skinny new kids, well, skinny. The things I do.....mind you, if its raining then no. There is a limit to the sacrifices I am willing to make.

Sumner, TDL and Jetta wont put on much soon....but that is not why the have arrived

watch that step that Jetta puts on in his high lights package from right wing.

Man I havent seen many guys split two players with such a big step at full speed !

These guys will never need to play inside............they are outside player to the max

The game is so bloody clean that they are the builds that will kill it on the flanks as we get faster and faster in AFL

Even if they came off the HB flanks to start............Jetta will be fun to watch no matter happens !!:

          Im pumped !!

Fantastic. Look forward to hearing your report. Can you get a note to Ed - tell him to try a bit of basketball training. I read that b'ball is a great game for learning how to run to space!

Gary Rohan is 186 cm and nearly 80 kg. Will put on a bit more, but is not a real skinny kid. Still, is not likely to get much time in the firsts - maybe later in the season if we're lucky.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

A good photo of the lads here.

Dennis-Lane's tale is one for the true believers

Yep, they don't look like they have too many A-grade games in them for next year, though Jetta, who's touted as the most likely, looks the skinniest of the bunch.

In any case, it's one for the ages.

Seen a few differing stats on Rohan's height - and gotta say he's closer to 190 based on that pic.

I will bet the house on this prediction - in a few years Sam Reid will be a unit of Q. Lynch proportions (though hopefully a better player).

                    Jetta is very skinny...particularly for a 20yo.

Still growing, think he has grown from something like 186cm to 190cm this year

IIRC correctly from a sports scientist friend, 5Kgs is the max muscle you should put on in a year. More than that and you risk damage, I presume from weaker muscles getting strained.

Anyway for Rohan and Reid, looks like a couple of pre-seasons before they are ready

Just had a look at that photo. From my viewpoint, their build's are just fine, they have to be lived in and filled out a bit, but frame work is there. Its their collective clutch of legs that make them look skinny. Matchsticks all of them. Just like Mick had. they will need some long distance running to build them up, but I think they are just fine.

MickyO was a skinny little recruit and look where he ended up!

Didn't realise Trent had a Burmese background, what a fabulous culturally diverse addition to the swans family. His story of determination in the face of rejection has a little of the Brett Kirk journey about it. Trent may or may not have Buddhist influence in his life, but it would be a spooky (and very welcome) co-incidence if he did.
