I also feel sorry for Laidlaw.
I have no doubt if his body holds up he will tear up whichever lesser grade league he plays in next year.
My tip: Back on a list in 2011.

I've gone a bit silly, for some reason I thought they didn't have to take him via the draft but just reread one of the articles and that wasn't the case.

I reckon he's still a chance to go there. He should put himself out there, play VFL, maybe even move to Queensland and try to get a gig playing for the GC VFL side as a non-AFL listed player, if they're interested.
