    The Big Mummy !!

Shane Mumford - Shane continued his good form in the ruck, he is very mobile for a big man and has fitted in well. Shane loves to compete and set up the midfielders under his feet. The big Mummy said Jarrad McVeigh had a sore throat after the game.

Great to see him fit straight in !

I like hearing that he is talking it up all game. There is nothing like your big Ruckman keeping the pressure on his runners in the midfield.....

Tap and go big Mumma !!

I know this is a bit off the subject of this thread but interesting to read the article on Daniel Currie. I was wondering what was happening with him, whether anyone had noticed him at training or in the practise matches. Seems like he might have been less than impressive in his commitment/handling his injuries last season. It is hard to know what his future could be with the Swans unless injuries, which we don't want, give him an opportunity to show his rucking abilities. He said he has been working with the midfield and forward groups?

Lewis Johnston is the other young Swan I would love to hear something about. With the new recruits for the forward line TDL, Rohan and Jetta getting a fair bit of good PR, he hasn't had a mention. If White doesn't play in the NAB Cup you would think he should get a gig ahead of Rohan if he is over his injuries and has had a good preseason. Has anyone seen how he is going?

like Grundy hitting his straps in 2009 (23yrs of age) Johnston could also be in that category needing time mentally and physically???

we seem to have a pretty good success at hanging there with young guys and helping them in to the cycle of making the good !
