    Paul Roos - The Interview

Just saw on Foxtel that tomorrow night at 9pm, Foxsports are showing Part 1 of an interview with Roosy. The clip shows him talking about last years trading and draft strategy.

    Not to be missed.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

IQ'd it so far the usual around Barry Hall having more to offer footy etc, excited about younger players. Said two things
      • Players are fitter first real 'pre season' since he has been coach
Really big influx of new players, did not want the side to be too young so went for some older players (McGlynn, Kennedy)

Worth watching, but hope tonight is more on 2010 rather than old ground of last year

You captured it well only really stated two real facts. Which is repeated in todays paper in Sydney.

I hope it is better tonight and very much need to watch news to see when they are going to screen interview.

Too long winded by Fox of course.

Missed the last two instalments of this - anyone catch them and share any pearls of insight?

The next two - number two was not interesting
            • It will take a minimum until round seven until the team gets some rythm with so many new players, he hopes to be competitive early
            • Previously they had been happy to trade away low picks, last three years they conciously went for younger players
            • Did not want the list to become too young so they went for some experienced players (Seaby, McGlynn, Kennedy, Mumford)
            • Players who thought they would be a Monty to get pre season game will miss, lots of comepetition for senior spots - putting pressure on the young guys to work hard
            • First real full and fit pre season since he has coached
            • Intended to be a one club coach, implied that the decision to no longer coach is driven by Family - which is fair enough family comes first
            • He really wants to hand over a good list to Longmire, team development is the outcome he personally wants from the year as a number one - there is excitement around the club about the new players
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler
