Nup. He is listed as a Ruckman in the DT. In the Swans list he is a forward. Unless they team list him for the game as a ruckman and he actually plays forward then his points don't count. Typical Melbourne version of the AFL in Sydney.

Same with Rhyce Shaw. He is listed in the DT as a back. He is 99% sure to be team listed as midfield this year. So we cannot use him.

Er, Primmy, there is no such rule as what you've described above. As long as a player plays in the game, no matter what position, he will score points.

No, as long as he plays then he will earn you points.

Imagine trying to figure out points for someone who goes forward, midfield and back all in one game like Chad Cornes or Luke Hodge!

My reading of the rules is that you have to name your players in the positions that the DL heirachy say they have to play, but that they can move around willy nilly during the game.

Please, I am happy to be proven wrong!!!! (You had better take advantage of THAT, it probably won't happen again).

I have been playing for years.

Unless the rules changed this year you are wrong.

No one know's where rookies etc will play. The rule would ruin the comp

Yep, that's right Primmy - he can play anywhere and he will score you points. Back pocket, forward, wing - doesn't matter. Similarly players like Goddard and Heath Scotland who were listed as defenders last year but played in the midfield a lot - they were handy to have.

As far as i am aware the listed positions are only important to trading and substituting.
