Really looking forward to seeing both Mumford and White in action on Saturday night....especially Mumford. Have we got a nickname for him yet, or are we just sticking to Mummy?

Hope that means White is fit to play. WIll be good to see Big Mummy on the park.

      Roos on White:

'm probably less concerned about him [Bradshaw] and trying to get Jesse up and going. Jesse [who is overcoming an ankle problem] is a chance to play this week [against St Kilda], but we'll wait and see how he gets through training.

''You'd like to get him going as soon as you can. We are talking about Jesse White in our forward line, and to be perfectly frank, he's going to have to earn it. He's not going to have it handed to him on a plate. He needs to show us, yes, he's improved from last year and, yes, he can fit into the forward line and all those sorts of things.''

Strangely, AFL site has included Craig Bird but no Craig Bolton. It must be a mistake. However, does it mean that Bolton is not 100%?

If that is the case I think Pyke , Gilchrist and Sumner may be the emergencies only in case White and Bolton cannot play in Melbourne. Sumner may have to give his plave to ROK

Bolton hurt his groin against Carlton. Wasn't a serious injury, but may be enough to keep him out of the side on Saturday night.

What makes you think it wasn't serious?

Based on what Roos said http://www.sydneyswans.com.au/news/n.../default.aspx; Bolton will not play and White will play at least half. Therefore Bolton, and possibly Pyke and Gilchrist will not play on Saturday.

I guess we could call him Tut... Or there was Otzi, the poor guy who was mummified by being frozen in ice, but that's getting a bit obscure.

2 weeks in and no sign of Meredith, Vezspremi, Hanneberry, Thornton, Playfair or Johnstone. Disappointing to say the least. Another year of long term low level injuries, perhaps?

The fact his return was subject to a test and the fact he's been named in the extended squad.

Mumford -> Mummy -> The Mummy -> Brendan Fraser -> Scrubs (Brendan played a character called Ben Sullivan.

                        So how about it?
Scrubs and Seaby our new ruck combo? Now that's obscure.

Craig just ran laps yesterday at training, so it's not too bad but not worth risking further damage for a NAB game.

Ta, that's more reassuring than a media report.

Besides we've got a surplus of talls in the backline. Teddy looks the most vulnerable, so no harm in giving him another chance to prove himself for round 1. He played OK last week.
