I was really, really, REALLY hoping that no-one at the Swans-Carlton game that weren't familiar with the area, didn't go to the Gold Dust......shudder.....you didn't did you?Comment
-
Sure did. We new it was a risk but that's just the type of guys we are.
I was happy to leave before the sun went down.
I'm not that clean cut but I'm pretty sure the locals thought we were undercover.Comment

Cityrail trackwork this week
Also, the time on the Rooty Hill website has been adjusted to 7pm, gates open at 5pm.City Rail will be undertaking track work on Saturday 6 March on the Western Line.
Buses replace trains between St Marys and Granville and also between Richmond and Granville. Replacement buses do not operate to the train timetable.
Replacement buses will stop at both Rooty Hill and Doonside Station, subject to the selected service.
If City Rail buses do not stop at the venue then a shuttle service will operate between Doonside Station and Blacktown Olympic Park.Comment

A braver person I'm yet to meet. I grew up in the area and steer well clear of the joint, particularly after my mate's father was beaten to death with a pool cue about 10 or so years ago.
I used to go there for thursday lunch with some of my work mates, mainly Islander boys, just to feel safe.Comment

I guess there's no-one going to broadcast a practice game, anyone know anything different about our match this weekend because I'd love to see it?
Another question if I may, does anyone know how well the Sydney v Carlton game went in the ratings?Comment

The membership team will be out there on Saturday if you need any help getting into the ground.
If you dont yet have your 2010 cards, bring along your 2009 ones.
We wont have a big tent there with cap collections like last time, so save the vouchers for the Fan Day at the SCG on Sunday.

Sumner is a weird out, unless he's injured. He's spent so little time on the ground in the first two games that he can hardly be tired. And given he's probably a long way back in the pecking list at the moment, would be a good chance to get him some decent time in a senior-like game before he resumes in Canberra. Had expected them to rest a couple of established senior players, like Kirk, B1 or Jack.Squad named.
