The price for the Swans to make the GF was the same as the Swans to make the top 4 (17).

That doesn't suprise me. Once you're in the 4 the Grand Final is much easier to get to, and Sydney's finals record of late provides to big a risk to inflate the GF over the top 4.

Heard on Marn Grook Footy Show tonight that Nic Naitanui (Weagles) is eligible for Rising Star this year (he did play some games last year but not a full season as I recall). If he is eligible he'd have to be odds on given what he has shown so far. No doubt Jetta could earn a nomination in a round but whether he could poll as consistently as Naitanui remains to be seen.

I just put $20 on Swans to finsih top Non Victorian team after round 22. Got 13-1 odds at TAB so payout would be $260. Long time to wait, but creates a season within a season now and that's what i'm more interested in rather than making money. Brisbane and Adelaide are the obvious dangers here, with West Coast a possibility depending on how they play away from home. i think it's as good a bet as any when you weigh up reasonable odds vs Swans chances of pulling it off.
