Also spoke to Henry P at the Fan Day. He's hopeful of playing again in the next few weeks. Can't believe how long he's been out of the game. I think he'd be a pretty good club man: he's certainly had enough time there just hanging around. Let's hope he can get back to playing some footy in the two's to see how his body stands up.

All four are injury prone. You could also add Vez to the listed. Then there is Playfair...
Johnston is now down as having a foot injury? Did it say knee the other day? I'm even more concerned now, feet are often tough to get right and this doesn't look any different.

Johnston HAS to be the most talked about listed Swan never to actually play a single senior game.

Well he is a big-marking CHF. A lot to be excited about. At the time he was drafted, there wasn't much else going on.

Speaking of injured forwards, the Bradshaw situation, it does have all the hallmarks of a
Roos ruse. "We expect him to play, he's on track," etcetera etcetera. Hmmm.

So Bradshaw would seem to be likely to miss? ? ?

                  Should add

MAtthew O'Dwyer - Left Behind at Training
Patrick Veszpremi - Still looking for car keys

Just would not be a Sydney season without mystery ailments. Horror for supercoach teams

You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

That's a very big field from which you're plucking him to go #1. I think he has a long way to go. For the advantage of being able to accumulate his discussion across 4 years, my vote goes with Smokey Davis. Dermie certainly played a senior game or two, as did the 2002 Plugger, and surely Nick Daffy did as well. Otherwise each of those old codgers might be in with a shot.

What makes you say that? Round 1 is two weeks away (well, closer to two than one), he's reported as out for two weeks. He's right on track!

Can't be too serious because he just ran a PB at training

WOW from Barlow - to beat your PB by 28 seconds when you're already ahead of the rest of the club is a pretty impressive effort. Lets just hope he can learn to translate it onto the field. He has all the tools to take up ROK's old HF role.

Terrific news about Barlow - takes a lot of hard work and strenuous application to get those results. Yes, let's see it on the field now.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I am pleased for both Barlow and Bradshaw, they will both get game time this year IMO. My only concern is that Barlow beat Spriggs 3 Km time, and we know how much he played for the Swans firsts..
