I can understand that totally - there is nothing wrong with that. There are things that went on at the club between the powers that be and Hall that we will never know. it will always be a contentious issue - but certainly not one worth losing friendships over between fellow RWOers! We just all have to move on like they have I guess.

Never happen Wardy... Difference of opinion makes the world an interesting place. I just hate being right all the time though
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Being right all the time is a dead-set bitch, isn't it??
I suffer from the same debilitating affliction.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

            Agree entirely.
The system he was part of and implemented (Bloods Ethos) bought his premature finish to us.
Love watching play well, though the signs are still there. Wait till a couple of bad games.

I'm really pleased that he's going well at Footscray BUT it beats me how those marks are sticking like glue..He had , over the last couple of years here, the hardest hands overhead, and spilt more chest marks than he took. Then the eye surgery was supposed to fix that (but didn't).
Gonna be fun if he starts to drop em again, then we;ll see the Melb press turn on him asgain!
And if he decks someone he'll be a serial killer all over again!

Being one who wishes Baz well with the Doggies I am reluctant to go down the path that he deliberately set out to get kicked out. I am happy to believe that his behavour and enthusiasm for the game or lack of it was a build up of various factors. I may be being very fanciful but to me the so called Bloods culture must be suffocating to some players. I always thought that the year that the Coleman medal was there for Baz and he seemed to deliberately not go for it, was taking the team glory before individual glory ethos to extreme and stupid lengths - if that was one of the reasons. It would have been so good for Baz and the team to have won it.
The reason he is playing so well at the moment may just be a result of having had a prolonged break and being in a new environment and as many have said, is getting good delivery into the forward line. And yeah, the media turnaround is extraordinary. Even the umpire was giving him free kicks.

But was the delivery to Baz so bad?? I seem to remember the ball being delivered ok, but he didn't seem able to see it or hold it. He certainly looks different now...I also thought he looked a different shape.....thinner around the middle?

After 15 May he will probably be suspended. Our fans will probably boo him in Canberra. He will loose it and be suspended. Out till the 2nd week of the finals - he must be due for a 15 week suspension if he hits someone... Rhyse Shaw is my pick... In his face during the game and BBBH looses it.... You get the idea.

                      IMO

I hope he does well and he'll always be a favourite but it's getting beyond a joke.
This is so spot on! He was Ivan the Terrible when he was a Swan, nowhe has the Melbourne press fawning over him because he's kicked some goals in the pre-season cup. Let's see what happens when the season proper is underway.

BBBH is an awesome player, no doubt about it. I watched with great interest the intent of the opposition player on him in the pre-season GF and it seemed to me that when it was one on one out with BBBH, the young guy defending him (don't know his name) looked bloody scared. When BBBH had the decision made by the umps whistle in his favour, the "intimidator" in him couldn't help himself and I have to admit it, it used to give me a belly laugh when he was with us.

The thing is we invested lots of time and money on physical problems and lots of money on some of the countries finest psychologists and still he did what he did. Now, did he just want out of the Swans or as is my belief, he is who he is and NOTHING will ever change him.

I do wish him well as he was part of the team that bought us the only Premiership I have seen for myself but in my heart I just believe that it's only a matter of time before he goes for the "king hit" again.

We will all have to wait and see, I for one won't be surprised when it happens.

                            I think you're right, Annie.

Hall's performance on Saturday night was simply awesome. I think there was something about our system that didn't sit right with him, hence all the trouble we had with him over the past couple of years.

He probably found the "blood brothers" thing a bit suffocating, or taken beyond a level he was comfortable with.

I think of Bazza as a fair weather friend. It is all nice for him now but once things turn against him, he doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to stick it out. The love in will end at some stage of the season. Players like Kirky know it. That is why he is wearing some blue.

I don't have much time for him now, disapoints me that our Premiership Captain is running around for another club. I just can't forgive him for not being able to sort his headspace out in the past few years.

Mind you, I will be slightly hypocrital comes finals time if we aren't there abouts, the Dogs are the only other team in the League I would be happy to watch win a Premiership!
