    Completly agree
(except for the last bit, I've always hated Footscray and hope their drought goes longer then ours did)

Wayne Carey has raised his stupid head to say he thinks Baz will go back to his bad old ways if opposition players put enough pressure on him. Sad that I agre, but I wish this guy would stay under his latest rock.

I'll be barracking for Baz every week...except for when they play us...and If we don't win the flag then I hope the Bulldogs do. Good luck Barry!

Unfortunaely Wayne judges things by his own standards. This manifests itself into well......crap basically.

BBB will do just fine - this season - he did just fine for us when he was happy, so I am sure he will be ok for the Dogs......sheesh,,,,,,,why did it have to be the dogs.......suppose it could have been Collingwood and that would have been totally awesomely awful...... stickwithbeinghappy he is a the dogs, I tell myself, it could be worse.

Sorry Barry, you have hurt me to often over the many years for there to be any forgiveness!
The drop marks, the temper tantums, the screaming at umpires for awarding legimate frees against you,
and of course your violent temper.
I hope the bulldogs do win a flag, but for someone who had to watch you blow it against hawthorn, destroy our winning momentum and a final place, there can only be relief at you being at another club
All the more the shame, for your position in the history of this club is assured for all time.
And I can't but help think at some stage during the season it all going to be repeated

He was the premier forward of the competition in '05 and '06 when we were playing in Grand Finals - 80+ goals from CHF in each year. Sure, be angry at him for his last couple of years at the club if you want but don't ever forget the joy he gave us all - there was a lot more good than bad.

                Very dramatic post.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Could be that the problem with with the Swans rather than with Barry. Time will tell.

I think we should be happy that Barry is back to his best. I think it is wonderful to see that goofy grin. He had become an angry man at the end of his time with us, but I still thank him for all the good year he gave us

I don't believe the tanking theories i.e. 'I'll play myself out of here and into somewhere else.'
I suspect the most important factors are, in order:
                              1. Peace of mind off field.
                              2. Baz-neutral umpires.
                              3. Best-practice delivery to the forward 50.
I had to laugh at Sheedy's input; someone 'helped me to my second premiership'. Sheesh!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Whatever we like to define the "bloods thing" as I doubt it had anything to do with his antics.

I don't reckon the culture fosters eye gouging, king hits, belting blokes who are on the ground in no position to defend themselves, hitting a player in the guts off the ball, and losing it, resulting in 3x50 metre penalties and game and season over. What happened to good old personal accountability instead of blaming it on the sheilas in his life, then lobbing with crocodile tears at his farewell. From all reports he may very well have known he was going to the Bulldogs.

Poor old Nick Davis copped it from all quarters and the worst he was ever guilty of was laziness, a punt, pizzas and a bevvy of beauties meeting him at the airport.
