Do we all need to just bellow out a primal scream to get rid of the frustration that was the Swans on Saturday night?

I didn't think Bulldog was good or bad in hindsight, I think maybe the team makeup was slightly off by a position or two.
Then again the optimist in me says we pushed last years GF'ist to less than 10 points. Pretty good for a team that has not played many, if any (Bradshaw), games together.

Harsh! Looks fit and hard as nails. OK, he wasn't a standout, but then the whole team pretty much played a little below their potential. Poor Jetta, for example, looked like he'd been so overcoached he couldn't remember how to play his natural game.

Thought he played well and had a crack. Not sure what "overcoaching" means or how you would even recognise it.

I have never been a fan of Moore but he did ok. Certainly should not be dropped on his effort which showed improvement from last year. Roosey said it all when he indicated the backline made blunders that lost us the game. The Umpires made blunders too..That's it!

Yeah, well, I may have just made that term up... I mean that I thought he looked like he was trying to remember everything he'd been told to do and not to do, and was not as bold as he was in the NAB Cup games.

I thought he was as bold as the St Kilda pressure allowed him to be. From my vantage point he was certainly running to space and trying to create. Once he gets used to the pace of AFL footy you will see him involved a lot more. I know one thing though, he's going to be exciting to watch this year. Everytime the he got near the ball the crowd seemed to lift so it's exciting times ahead.

Correct me if I'm wrong. but his opponent for most of the night was Baker, who is a pretty tough marker.
Moore had 19 touches, 12 of them contested.
                    Baker had 8, 4 contested.

I'd say Moore was OK on the night, all things considered.

Interesting to see the views on Moore. When he missed the sitter in the 1st Qtr I actually put the wager down that he'd be gone by seasons end. Misses too many crucial goals, and doesnt have the engine to play in midfield. Really like to see him do well as I'm a fan of his style of play, but there is so much pressure on his spot it's hard to see him staying on the list. His form really has really levelled since he established himself in the team.

The loss itself was not so bad - we won the 'game' we just lost on the scoreboard. But the miss from Moore early on as well as his inability to find either a teammate or the goal minutes later were pivotal in the outcome of the game. Hard to blame the umpires - I actually thought we had the better run for the night. They fell for Riewoldt being pushed, but they fell for the Eski being pushed too.

It seems you have a vendetta against Moore. He played a good game in the midfield on Sat,12 contested possies are a good night's work.He did miss a sitter early,as did Seaby and others but he did set up Jack for a goal as well as kicking one from the pack in the final (I think) quarter. He was far better than both Kennedy and McGlynn.Maybe I need to watch the replay AGAIN mate!

Agree! Kennedy and Mc Glynn don't offer us as much as Moore. He did a lot of hard work in the clinches too that often goes unnoticed. To have the first two in the team and Smith and Hanneberry out does not seem right to me.I would have Bevan as a forward as well before the other two who should have to wait for injuries to get their chance to prove themselves.

Kennedy and McGlynn have proven themselves, albeit at another club. So what if they're taking a bit of time to get into it? They're in a completely different environment, it's going to take some time. We all knew that. McGlynn was beaten on the night by a very good opponent in Montagna, while Kennedy started off very slowly and unconvincingly but was one of our most involved players in the final quarter.

Last year, Kennedy and McGlynn were regular and important players in a midfield at the very least equal to our own. They're both very good players who have shown far more than Smith and Hannebery (as exciting as they are as prospects, so don't get me wrong, I'm not bagging them) at senior level. It's their spot to lose, and to talk about giving them the axe after a mixed performance in Round 1 against one of last year's Grand Finalists is just crazy.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Kennedy deserves to stay, if for nothing more than the exquisite underground handball to Goodes which led to Bulldogs snapped goal.

It was brilliant. And dare I say, a taste of things to come when he becomes more accustomed to the Swans setup.

He is our modern day Kevin Dyson, same number and same super solid physique, if not the same impressive barrel chest.
