You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler -

"I think Jesse probably had one of his worst games ... just one of those nights you have with a young kid where nothing goes right,"
And White remains Roos whipping boy de annee!!!
Although White wasn't great, amongst other things he needs to get his timing right, saw him tearing out of square far too early on occasions last night, saw Bradshaw drop a couple of marks he should've taken.Comment

I think it's interesting that Roos has now said that Bradshaw was dangerous and White had one of his worst games.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

Stella, I think Roosy knows Jesse fights back when criticised or dropped (witness his blitz when he was dropped to ressies last year). Jesse was not good, but he will be, and I think Roosy knows how to push his buttons. If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

Keeping in mind Bradshaw had no pre season, hence getting some match fitness will make him "dangerous".
Roos is spot on in his observation not just looking for the whipping boy, Jesse did miss some relativly straight forward grabs and when you are a target you just can't afford to do that. As Roos said Jesse is still young and will have games like that.Premiers 09,18,33,05

I don't disagree that White did not set the world on fire, but neither did Bradshaw and I find it puzzling that one would have had a shocker and one would have looked dangerous.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

To me this goes beyond a coach just feeling a relaxed player who didn't push himself enough in his early days at the club needs a push along, could be a very good player so want to make sure he keeps raising the bar, don't want to praise him too much as he's the sort of guy who it could go to his head etc etc. Resumably he reserves the positive feedback for behind closed doors so there would be more of a balanced assessment overall, but it still nags away at me that Roos does have such concerns that the public comments are so consistently negative (particularly given it's White's 4th year at the club - should know what it required by now).Comment

We did have a stiff night with umpires. Some soft frees at the wrong time. But it's a sign of a top side that they win the close ones, like we mostly did in 05-06. We did leak some pretty soft goals.
BUt I did think the league was hot on protecting the player's head.
ROos wasn't being unkind to White, just pointing out it happens. I thought Bradshaw looked "dangerous" at times, just not many times. The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment

It also didn't help with some slow and poor delivery to the forward line. However that MFU from White where he dropped a sitter on the lead which lead directly to an Aint's goal was a huge point.
White will be better for the hitout though and i know he will bounce back this weekend.Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.
