    Next three games winnable

The next three games look very winnable Rich, Roos, Eagles before we play the Cats & Bulldogs.
If we are to make top 4 you would think we would have to win 4 of the next 5 - which given our current form would be achieveable.

At first look I thought we had a tough draw but apart from last 3 games its not a too bad and a good chance to set ourselves up early if we can maintain the form.

    Cheers

Next three have to be. Two at home against teams yet to win a game. One away - but only as away as Melbourne - against a team yet to win a game and with a midfield that should be far too young and fragile to compete against ours. Complacency is the only thing that should really stop those three wins.

Next two clearly a bit tougher but get a bit of steam up and who knows...

(Amazing what a great win - and a hoodoo buster - can do for the confidence, isn't it! I almost wish we had the Pies next weekend.)

"Yeah nah we're just looking to take it one week at a time, the boys are gonna have a good week on the track and you can't underestimate a great side like the Tigers. It was a real team effort today and we need everyone putting in 110% next week if we want to win, but yeah nah Richmond are a quality young side and we can't take them lightly"

I think Melbourne proved after yesterday's game that the only certain four points are from the game that you just won.

3 from the next 3 should be the aim, 2 from 3 to break even - the WCE game will be the wild card

Sydney don't play as well against Easy Beat teams, but the infection of our youths might alter that.

If we continue to play the way we did today then the next 3 games will all be wins you would think. Beating the better sides like Geelong and the Dogs is definitely on the cards aswell if we play like we did today. As liz said it's all about not being complacent, and trying to find consistency.

Every game is winnable so let's just enjoy the great win today and look toward taking on Richmond next week.
Remember they came up and beat us a few years ago when no one thought they could so let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Bring on Richmond. The top 8 beckons.

Hopefully the intense pressure for spots in our senior team, as well as the previously mentioned injection of youthful enthusiasm, will not allow us to become complacent at this stage of the season.

There would be very few players in the seniors right now who would know they can put in a poor performance and be assured a spot in the team the following week.

Firstly, they won't be dropping anyone from the team this week.

Secondly, LRT is playing the second key defensive role alongside Grundy and you do not change these two positions no matter what the opposition brings on a week to week.

Thirdly. overall we have a very mobile short backline with Malceski, Shaw, Kennelly, C Bolts and sometimes Mattner. Plan B from opposition teams will be to go tall and push the resting ruckman and their utlility forward which means LRT, Grundy and C Bolts are structurally required.

Lastly, in the one on one stuff at present LRT is actually performing better than C Bolton and that is all that is required from him at present.

Richards will be back, but only when we play a side with three genuine tall forwards and two ruckman.

It is actually not such a silly suggestion. I think LRT does his role well - far better than many Swans fans give him credit for - but if you are going for a horses for courses approach to team selection, there is a decent argument for LRT making way this week. He really doesn't have a match-up unless Richmond decide to play Simmonds as a permanent forward, and I don't think they have the ruck depth to do that.

He could probably play on Riewoldt but so could Reg. He is too big and lumbering for Morton. That is pretty much the Tigers taller forward line at the moment. Post? Maybe but he is playing a bit further up the ground.

There is precedent - LRT was dropped in a year not too far back (was it as recent as last year) against the Bulldogs despite being in decent form simply because there was no opponent for him, and then was brought back the following week.

I would have thought he'd play on Post, to be honest. Sure, Post is playing a bit further up the ground, but LRT is perfectly comfortable doing that. Probably more so than last line, in fact. I'd just put LRT on Post, and tell him to drop back and help out occasionally. Otherwise, if Richmond want to go loose man, he could play that role for us.
