Yeah, sounds like he was playing it a bit safe for the first time out - hopefully he gets a second chance and lets rip with some of his RWO-column-styled wit and gains a second career (and bumps that jerk Akermanis out of a columnist role).

I also enjoyed "... key forward Rhyce Shaw."

I liked Ted's piece - and I also liked the heading the page is using: Big Mummy, mouth agape, closing in on a worried-looking Gary Ablett.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Ted played a great game on the weekend. Great to see him with his confidence back!

Does Gablett represent the proverbial BBQ from Teddy's last piece?

I'd certainly like to see Mummy come back for a second helping.

I've never seen a thread last this long on the first page on ROW.

The person who started it must be highly attractive and a much sort after sexual partner.

The latest installment, covering Kirky and Roos' last SCG game is good. Does anyone know which newspaper article he's referring to? Missed that one and would really like to read it.

On Saturday morning in the newspaper I read in awe of what the 15 opposition captains in the competition had said of their experiences of playing against Brett Kirk.

Shane Mumford and Craig Bolton made the trip north too. I can understand Craig?s motivations for coming up as he is a co-captain and likes to witness the games first-hand whilst he is out with injury. To a certain extent this is true for Shane as well, but I believe his main motivation was the buffet meals we get at the hotel.
                              I love Teddy.
                              He's hilarious.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
