I believe Mr Olarenshaw is about to issue a very public apology on friday over things he shouldn't have said

Young Lewis is a hoot - maybe a close to the line of coming across as big-headed but because it is him, and he comes across as so winningly wonderful, I think he gets away with it.

Against Adelaide I was running from half back down to half forward and handballed to Macca who was at the side of me, and put the block on, and I could have run in and kicked it from 55m easily. But it doesn?t matter, as long as the team is winning like we did last Sunday.
I love that confidence, he definitely needs to stop being so sharing and just take the game on himself.

I agree, get the impression he is just stoked to be there, responds to the crowd's excitement and it spills over at every opportunity. His first goal(s) will help his perspective.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

We've really done well to go the extra step to help him settle in. Credit to Goodes and the Swans culture.

Can't wait to see him burn up the SCG with electrifying runs for many many years to come!

Wenn gave us a terrible caning a few years back at the SCG, but I think hasn't been toooo bad lately.

Jeffery hasn't been on my hate list, although I clearly remember him making a howler or three decisions only last weekend. That said, I can't remember which game (I did watch 5 of them from start to finish...lol)

Hay I don't know and in my experience that is a worry. We rarely seem to do well with the first year/inexperienced scumps.

I think I remember Stuart Wenn crucifying us one day. Either that, or he was outstandingly good. I can't quite remember. I just know I remember him for some reason.

And a quick search reveals this from Round 22 last year:

In all seriousness, he was @@@@ing disgraceful. 29, whoever he was, was quite decent. Didn't really notice him, which is what you want from an umpire. Kennedy was poor, but it went both ways with him. But honestly, number 22, he was absolutely disgraceful. I'm not one to complain about the umpires, I'm usually pretty level headed, and I reckon they are unfairly maligned because most of the problems stem from the rules, not those enforcing them, but tonight, he was something else. I have never, EVER heard an individual umpire get such a loud booing from a crowd. Some of his calls were just beyond comprehension, and they almost inevitably went against us.
                      Hehe, oh dear!

Well, I did say hasn't been toooo bad.....lol

I'd managed to forget the fearful bashing the scumps gave us in that game. I was so peed off that they single handedly cost Magic, Leo and Crouchy going out as winners.

Of course, the loss and the extra goal or 4 gifted the Lions made us finish below West Coast and get pick 6.

                          Hello Gary Rohan.

                          Thank you Stuart Wenn.

                            Oh and BTW.

This is an umpire we are talking about.

Have you been sharing a smoke with schwattasboots and Sharp9 ?

Hey, I try to give umpires credit where it's due, OK! For example, last week against the Crows, they were outstanding!
