    Controversy Corner

I have it on exceptionally VERY good authority that the "chant" playing in the background of the current Swannies ad running on TV at the moment (featuring Blind Barry, Davo & Goodesy [don't ask me why they feature two players who were essentially "sacked" from the team - that's another controversy] ..... has NOT actually been recorded from a live game, but has been coreographed using the St Mary's Cathedral Boys Choir.

    Controversial, don't you think?

The choir dances? I'd like to see that!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Thinking about it I didn't think it sounded like one of ours.

The St Marys' Catherdral Boys Choir dancing to the Sydney chant? A slow two step maybe?

            ROK is hot!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

They tried to use an authentic chant, but they couldn't find one without 'Syd-ney, clap, clap, clap' in the background.

They should have got the one from Homebush V Fweo (in the final in the rain) from a few years ago.
                  That was the spookiest ever.

                    That's just too, too funny.

Couldn't go past without letting you know that.

Can't remember it raining at the Freo final, although memory of that game is dreading I wouldn't get GF tickets...lol

Absolutely would need to record that seperately. Pretty lame to use a choir, though. No wonder it sounds so harmonious.

It certainly didn't rain at that game, I can remember that much!

Well at least we weren't blighted during the game with the naff urgings......respect has been paid to us.......don't mind the choir, we can give them that.
