Difficult when you have a 500 goal kicker, and a dual brownlow medalist drawing the footy

You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Nice to have Mal's take on the buzz in the team.
But I'm particularly pleased to see Jesse's view of life in the forwards. I know a lot of it sounds like parrot-speak from the coaches, but it sounds as if it works for him and he's keen to succeed and not anxious about performance. Hope he gets a goal or two soon, both for his sake and the team's, not to mention supporters.

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Agree about Jesse Di. Watched a replay as closely as, and his handballs are getting to be terrific. He is working his way though traffic and making effective disposals by hand and foot. And he is looking like a team player. A maturing Jesse, and being mentored by the calm Braddley is probably the best of both worlds. His time will come. And we don't have to be anxious now that we have so many options.

Watched most of the replay last night and Jesse looked very effective playing well down the ground, especially in the first half.

Good to see that Jesse is getting some favourable press. One of my favourite players - not best, just favourite - loved watching him develop in the Reserves. I hope he does well as the season progresses, but as there seems to be a plethora of goal kickers in the Reserves, he will need to make himself very useful to retain his position on a week by week basis. Long term I think he's pretty secure (I'm not referring to his 3 year contract) because he will improve wherever he plays.
