I booed, loud and proud. And I'll boo that crystal fueled scum bag til the day he retires. He's an arrogant tosser who thinks he's above the law. Time and time again. Just ask the staff at the Intercontinental.Occupational hazards:

Me either-there was a Tigers supporter who seemed to yell Go Cuz every time a tiger got near the ball, I was going to ask her if she knew the names of the rest of the team but she was a little scary.Personally I blame Schneider for 2006 not Cuz and. It was sad to see Cuz run around at the SCG in the wrong colours.
Not that I begrude fans having reasonable fun but I couldn't hear the boos in the O'Reilly, just felt a sense of appreciation for someone who's contributed a lot to the game.Comment

You obviously started this thread BEFORE you found out that he's been suspended for being an idiot drunk after last Saturday's game. Not sure if this has been discussed but I must say I was dissapointed that a good portion of the crowd thought it was a good idea to boo Cousins every time he laid hands on the ball on Saturday.
Yes, he has had his fair share of controversy but he did the time and it takes a lot to come back from that. I know - I've been down that road myself and it's no easy path. Simple. It would be a bit rich for anyone to presume to know his mind but at the very least, we're looking at someone who is a shadow of his former self and that mustn't be easy on anyone.
I actually feel sorry for the bloke but whether you do or not, I don't see any cause to boo the guy. We're better than that I believe.
DanWild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I don't boo ex-players - unless they were dismissed for drug and/or criminal related activity. 2006 still rankles - Cousins is fair game - Such is Life.Comment

What I find disturbing is the way Cousins is always described in the media as a "recovering drug addict", as if he's just that, and nothing else. I don't think it's right to label people like that. Not sure if this has been discussed but I must say I was dissapointed that a good portion of the crowd thought it was a good idea to boo Cousins every time he laid hands on the ball on Saturday.

As far as the booing is concerned, it will be interesting to see the reception Jolly gets when we play Collingwood.Comment

He was suspended for trying to stop an idiot making more of a pest of himself, which on the face of it looks petty. However as it was said to be at 3am, WHATTHA!!! What on earth are they doing up and about at that time, at his age, after a game and before recovery!!! So unprofessional. Except who is going to look after the idiots? Then again, Why should that be Cousin's job? Is he captain of the club? Is he an official? For once I feel sorry for the bugger. He is not the drunk one and he gets clipped. Not equitable. If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

Gee, if a Swans fan can't boo someone like Cuz at our own home ground, we might as well give up. Give me a break, the SCG crowd needs to be even MORE passionate and uncomprimising IMO, not chastised for having a go at tosser like Cousins.
Next thread should be about our collective shame of how nasty the big bad SCG crowd was to Wayne Carey.

Wha? How can you blame Schneider for 2006? Barry Hall was the reason we lost that game and the flag, for failing to convert even one of several very gettable goals. And he was never quite the same player for us after that.Personally I blame Schneider for 2006 not Cuz and. It was sad to see Cuz run around at the SCG in the wrong colours.

Schneider wanted to stay a Swan. Hall 'quit football' half-way through a season. Then after the season ends and the horse-trading begins, Hall has suddenly rediscovered his passion and wants to play again -- for another club!
Schneider was fired. Hall quit. So did Jolly, but at least he was up front about it and played out the season for us.
Schneider deserves no animosity from Swans fans. Hall deserves as much vocal bagging as Swans fans within earshot are brave enough to deliver. Jolly less so, but given who he plays for now makes it pretty much open season on him too.To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!Comment
