FanTAStic 2nd half! I was chewing my nails at halftime, but maaaan - how good to have a Swans team that wakes up and hits back hard before the game is looking lost! And Braddie is definitely coming into his own with us. Another good game like this for him, and I might ... just might ... find myself able to let go of a certain Mr B Hall and the past at last ...

Cynical little Slav that I am, I'm finally allowing myself a good feeling about this season. Next week, the Eagles? SMASH THEM.

A great second half performance. We looked really good once it clicked. The intensity wasn't there in the first half but North couldn't punish us enough to put the game in doubt.

Hannebery was the standout as best on ground. He looks the complete player already and yet he's still so inexperienced. Very exciting for the club.

I thought Mumford was great also. He's all class and tore it up today. Bradshaw and Jetta also had great games.

McGlynn went off in the first quarter with a thigh strain and they weren't going to risk him, but he played through it.

i am always careful about how one eyed i am watching a game. But i think the umpires did the best they could to keep north in that first half. After half time we dominated and looked very good.

What's with you guys bagging the play early in the game. Mark Maclure and his ABC commentating buddies spent the afternoon talking about such a fabulous game of footy, particularly in the first half when it was so 'free flowing.' They kept saying how thoroughly enjoyable it was, partlicularly in comparison to the game they commentated the night before. It is almost 'shocking' to hear all the praise coming the way of Sydney at the moment.

I was pretty unimpressed with the team that showed up at the opening bounce. I thought North were very good in the first half and they have some great kids. The umpiring was unique and I thought we got the better of things in the end.

Jude was superb in that final quarter.
Hannebery is a delight. Poised, hard, tough, smart. As Hammo says complete player already.
Jetta go go gadget arms are incredible. What a shame he couldn't nail his set shot but it doesn't matter that he's not kicking goals when pretty much every disposal is clever and to advantage.
Bradshaw was superb and Jesse's mark and goal a huge highlight. Would have a special day out for the fans had he nailed that second attempt.
The Mummy is even better than the movie.
Goodes showed what a breathtaking player he is. Legend!
Our approach in Q3/Q4 gives me hope we will be able to really take it up to the tops sides.

No doubt the mood will be better this week, even though we played terrible for 2 qrts (although the opposition applied plenty of pressure in those 2 qrts) and played great for 2 qrts both weeks against sides who will no doubt finish bottom 4.

The order that you put the 2 qtrs together has everything to do with the mood.

Lol spot on Triple B, though I rate North much higher than the Tigers.

Good game. 3 out of 4 we are looking good.

Hanners looking good. Bradshaw excellent marking- really seems like he is fitting in. Goodsey very versatile forward midfield back. LRT fantastic- smother was awesome. Jets such a shame still waiting for that goal! So far this season is really exciting for us.

Ordinary start, great finish. Dan Hanneberry is becoming something quite special.

Swans website briefly listed "McGlynn, hamstring" under injuries, but revised it to quad tightness, so nothing serious, hopefully.

Certainly enough highlights to keep me happy from this game. Looking forward to the Weagles at the SCG - I'll be there!

Just got back from the ground, having seen the team live for the first time this year.

Given it's the first time I've seen them up close, I was paying special attention to the new guys.

McGlyn, although quiet by his recent standards runs all days and works like a mad man off the ball. It's hard to appreciate that when not at the ground.

Kennedy got a few touches and kicked a nice goal but didn't have a lot of impact IMO.

The rucks were solid without being outstanding. Mumford seemed to fire up more in the 2nd half, getting a lot of touches around the ground. Big guy - huge tank!

Jetta is a smooth mover and an absolute joy to watch. I'm sure it's been noted here before but his disposal by foot is outstanding. Even running flat-out he delivers low, flat passes that the recipient barely has to break stride for. And for a guy playing his 4th senior game, looks very comfortable out there. Almost broke his duck, but a goal after a long run & few bounces would be a more appropriate debut 6-pointer.

The new blood for me though is obviously Bradshaw. This guy is 100% class & composure -- he makes playing full-forward look easy. The vibe of our forward line is a stark contrast to the frantic, angry and petulant atmosphere of the past few seasons. It's like a yoga class v. a mosh pit. Not that I have anything against mosh pits, but I'm loving the clam efficiency of our gun recruit.

As mentioned in this thread Hanners and Goodes were brilliant today. Goodes more so in the 2nd half when we needed a game breaker, but Hanners was on pretty much all day. Love his work and very excited about the future of our midfield with him & Jetta in it.

Good games from LRT, Tige, Jude, Marty & Kirk (of course). Welcome back Rhyce Very bad day for C. Bolt though. I wonder what sort of injury he's carrying?

North were more competitive than I expected, but ran out of steam & gusto once we got 3 goals up in the 3rd. Umpires were their usual atrocious selves. Five of North's eight goals came from some of the softest frees you will ever see. That about sums up their performance for mine.

I don't necessarily agree with your sentiments 100%, but that is a great line.

Hanna's game today. The most leadership and maturity I have seen from a young footballer for a long time, and not just at our club..

                            That was frighteningly good.

Please, footy gods, let him have the career he should.

Given that ROK was off his game somewhat it was quite outstanding of Hanneberry to step into the breach and dominate the midfield. He just reads the play so well and runs to the right position all the time. I think he had a stat of around 16 contested possessions.
