Paul Roos on "Open Mike" tonight on Fox Sports 1, 9.30pm.

(Apologies if has been posted, couldn't find mention of it anywhere but it is Monday)

Roosey is on 'Open Mike' tonight, Fox Sports 1 at 9.30pm. Saw snippets over the weekend and his answer to coaching/game style, Brett Kirk and playing with Plugger and Kelly were fantastic, I think it will be one of his better and more open interviews.

Just thinking about Round 25 (because we will have the week off) this year brings a tear to my eye. He is so direct and genuine. Very very glad that he has been so instrumental in creating the Swans we know today.
I love how passionate and steely eyed he was when talking about GWS and how if their success came at the expense of the Swans that was not going to good. That look! You can see why the players have responded to him so well when it was needed.

Not a huge fan of Sheahan's written word but his whole Open Mike series has been entertaining. He comes across as really respecting each of his subjects, yet stays away from being overly sychophantic. He doesn't get too heavy, or take the interviews overly seriously, yet still asks some probing, direct questions.

Good line from Sheahan : "Brett Kirk, can't jump, can't run, can't kick, but he is the essence of your footy club, tell us a bit about Brett Kirk."

The boys will have some fun with that for awhile.

Sheahan has a special fondness for the Swans. He wrote the foreword to Jim Main's In The Blood, where he says;"Sydney's premiership win and its aftermath was the most emotional day I have spent at what I call the Temple in more than 1500 visits." I wonder if the interview can be YouTubed?
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

If Roosey had his pick of any OTHER player, he's take the second best one - Ablett Jnr. Only if he can get him from GC17.

(Well, obviously, we've got the BEST player already!!)
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
